Gary Madine cost £6M
That’s the market now we need to get our heads around

True Jon Bon you could argue that spending 50k on a striker gets the finishing we saw from Donaldson

So has spending a fortune benefitted Sunderland? Norwich? Wednesday? Hull? Leeds etc? I ask the question because there will be calls for new striker(s) after tonight. Reality checks> Leon Clarke is the third-highest scorer in The Championship - ahead of Albert Adomah and Ryan Sessegnon.
Donaldson cost £50k but has scored more than Jordan Rhodes.
Cardiff's sub. tonight (Madine) cost £6m - more than United's entire squad.
As sickening as tonight's injustice was, both us and Millwall are doing fantastically well. The teams that have spent big and spectacularly under-achieved will be looking for new managers sooner rather than later.

Interesting stuff!!
Who the hell have Hull spunked all their cash on?
We are doing incredibly well.
5 of the top 6 have spent £37m+. Spending big does not guarantee success but it is extremely difficult to be successful without spending big.View attachment 38294

Don't start with facts.....
He looked well worth it tonight didn't he?
I don't get this theory that just because other clubs have wasted money we will. Are you implying Wilder will 'spunk millions on crap forwards despite his record in the transfer market ?Don't start with facts.....

The point is 10 goal a season strikers now cost £6m. People on here talking about signing two promotion winning strikers in the coming summer.
