Who will the players be voting for in the election?

Always makes me laugh when people say surely a person can't vote for a party that makes them worse off, suggesting the only reason anyone votes is for their own personal wealth and wellbeing.

Not everyone is an 'I'm alright Jack', selfish Tory bastard you know?

As it is. I'd guess:

Hendo - spoils his ballot paper with 🔜🔛🔝.

Baldock - Tory of course. Buckinghamshire boy.

O'Connell - Labour all day long laaaa.
Egan - Irish lads arent gonna vote for a Brexit party. I'd say Lib Dem.
Basham - North East lad with a wife from an ethnic minority. Labour voter.

Stevens - still trying to work out if Boris or Corbyn have a chance of being crowned the next Taoiseach.

Fleck - SNP and he'll send a screen shot to Olly McBurnie for bantz.
Ollie Norwood - Lib Dem. Burnley boy, definite Allaister Campbell advocate and Blairite. Wants a Tory government so he can go back to voting Labour again.
Lunneh - Tory, but he'll tell all his family and JOC he voted Labour laaaa.

Mooooooose - Our first non British Isles signing. He votes Brexit party for bantz.
Didzy - Too classy to vote. Plus he's got all Thursday fully booked with shooting practice.

I don’t know about the United players but I can’t decide who to vote for. I can’t remember ever having such a poor choice. I think Boris is a fibber, Corbyn an incompetent Marxist and Swinson, I don’t know what she is but I’m glad I’m not married to her!

(Did I miss anyone significant?).

I just hope there’s a majority one way or the other then at least we might get things done, even if they’re the wrong things.😶

Any guesses.

John Fleck I would bet the SNP if he was registered to vote in a Scottish Constituency.

I find it hard to believe as a Scouser, either Lunny or JOC would vote for anything other than Labour. I’d also make an educated guess that Bash is pretty left wing as well.

I would also imagine most of the rest of the squad would vote Tory
It’s really not hard to imagine that players who are already paying hundreds of thousands of pounds a year in tax might think that they’re paying enough already, and won’t vote to pay even more - wherever they were born.

Of course, they may not care. But the idea that “it’s hard to imagine” is a bit of a stretch.

Jeremy Corbyn's last tax statement showed his earnings as £ 140 K. who will he vote for ?
His policies will probably cost him a few grand a year. They will cost some professional footballers a few grand a week.

Henderson is ambitious and looking to better himself, so would vote Tory.
Egan is strong and stable personified, so would vote Tory.
Basham is adaptable, does whatever the team requires and doesn’t hide behind a job description, so would vote Tory.
Norwood is the thinker in the team, so would vote Tory.
Fleck has come from a poor area and wouldn’t want the whole country to go back to that level of destitution, so would vote Tory.
Stevens has shown a knack for humiliating the opposition, which is likely to happen this Thursday, so he’ll vote Tory.
McGoldrick has flair and creativity and so doesn’t want to be constrained by society, so will vote Tory.

Any more?

They’re all voting for Boris

Henderson - doesn't, Baldock - Tories, Basham, O'Connell - Labour, Egan & Stevens - Lib Dems, Lundstram, Norwood - Labour, Fleck - SNP, Mousset - doesn't, McGoldrick - Green Party, McBurnie - Brexit, Robinson - doesn't.

Based on very little. Most probably don't. I'm just bored & entertaining it.

The general logic - Northern working class lads don't usually vote Tory. Would think the Scousers would be pro-Labour following Burnham's intervention on Hillsborough.

The Irish would prefer Brexit not to go through hence, Lib Dems. McGoldrick is alternative & progressive. McBurnie, well... less said the better. The younger, dafter lads probably won't vote. Baldock - Southern & sounds private schooled, probs a Tory.

Wonder if any of them dabbled with right wing extremism and then switched to democratic socialism?

Remarkably similar to my effort 😂

Scousers though. They’ll vote Tory but tell everyone they voted labour. Then they’ll nick your wheels whilst telling you that Liverpool is the best city in the world although they don’t live there and Stevie G’s a great lad not in any way connected with skag dealing gangsters or owt like that, la.
There's not too many scouserd in Liverpool going conservative. 1 Tory seat in 15 on Merseyside. They are nearly as lefty as the socialist Republic of SY

Yeah, I wasn’t being serious.

I hate politics on the internet, especially on here. It's toxic. I've already had a whoosh moment and seeing the shit arguments go around again sends me to sleep

That's why I'm not posting on this thread anymore so it drops down the list. Ha

Oh shit

Forwards- Tory voters. Selfish and ruthless.
Defenders- Labour voters. Solidarity to the end.
Midfielders- Independent voters. Mavericks who often think they're better than they are.
Goalie- green voters. Love throwing themselves around on the grass.
Enda Stevens - Labour Party
George Baldock - UKIP

McGoldrick will attempt to vote, but will place his ballot paper wide of the ballot box (sorry Didzy I love you really!)

As I did mine first I'd be inclined to say yours is remarkably similar to mine but I get your drift 😂😂

Agree on the Irish lads though, they aint voting a Brexit party.

McBurnie is defo voting Green. Hipster central.

I'm not so sure Fleck would vote SNP. He's a Rangers fan, the vast majority of whom are fervant unionists.

Hate to point this out Alco but all wealthy people including footballers have these things called accountants. These bastards will make sure they will finish up paying less than Joe Soap on the shop floor and get richly rewarded for their crooked efforts.

Quite possibly, but before they get to need to cook the books, it’s imaginable that they would rather be be legally required to pay less tax.
