I'll never forget the absolute despair as the tears poured down Chris Morgan's face as Wigan relegated us in '07.
I stood on the Kop and watched as this colossus of our football club threw his shirt into the crowd and applaud us.
That emotion choked me up, and, in a way made feel strangely pleased that we had that type of man fighting the cause for our club.
How many of the current crop of fuckin wasters would really give a shit about OUR club IF we get relegated???

I'm often pulled up for talking about Quinn in negatives... I've always maintained he should play down the left.

Yeh, Quinny does get a lot of bad press. I can only see the local lads and those that have come through the academy really being devastated by relegation.

I think they'll all be gutted in one way or another, including the loan players. None of them will want the shame of relegation on their CV. It won;t help their agents scam the club(s) into paying the ridiculous wages that some footballers attract nowadays (i won't say earn).

So who else applauded the support yesterday? As far as I could see only Riise, Ched and Vokes, the rest either sat on their arses (literally) and felt sorry for themselves or just ran down the tunnel. Awful

Really pisses me of that they run down the tunnel! They should be made to applaud the fans for turning up. Absolute disgrace that they get away with it too. Even worse when they do it at away games.
