For the quality we need etc the reality might be that those loans don’t happen until end of window etc

That might be reason we haven’t stumped up wages, we can’t get the players until near end of window
Maybe…though I suspect there will be no loans at all unless we sell others to pay the wages.

I think the fact we gave Campbell a new deal probably suggests that what’s happening with Prince won’t lead us down the Wendy road

If the owners had no intention to put anymore into the club and happy to sell and just walk away etc etc then it makes zero sense to give a new deal to Campbell, it’s not like he will have agreed to drop his wages so surely that has to suggest something

I hope you’re right

We don’t know.

We sold Brooks and Hamer for over £10 million and brought in a kid on loan ( minimum wages), some oldies as usual and offered a new contract to Campbell, who has obviously been struggling for awhile.

It looks bare bones to me.

I can’t see any reason why Campbell would drop his wages to stay, especially given how he clearly wasn’t staring every week last season or pre season under wilder

Why take less and still not play much football

Hamer was about getting some money at end of contract, Brooks could be selling a kid who wanted out and wouldn’t stay and maybe wilder wanted him gone

Your a bit light on the valuations

Outgoings get spread awell
They do.

The question being whether the owners want to commit to them going forwards or use the money elsewhere. ie: to purchase the club or running costs or some such.

I don’t think anyone can contest we are skint.

They won't be using sufc money for a private share transaction.

I suppose it boils down to whether we can cut our cloth and remain solvent without £ from the owners.
Forget progress.
We're in survival mode.
The chickens of our mismanagement and waste of half a £billion are coming home to roost.
Nothing we fans can do except keep turning up and trying to enjoy the chip butties & gallows humour whilst we slide.
Man-up with a siege mentality like a proper Blade - we all knew in our hearts it couldn't last once we'd finished 9th in the PL - it's just how the club rolls , ever since 1971. Don't let the hope kill you.

No doubt someone with better knowledge than this old man will correct me .
Surely PA,s court case is against COH and not the club which in my dementia/drug addled mind means it's a personal problem.
If the club is still running and paying the bills why does the EFL get involved ?

We were a Premier League club (albeit mainly in name only) 3 seasons ago. To arrive here so soon is actually impressive.

Let's be right. We are going to struggle to sign anybody - would you as a player be thinking I'll sign for the club with the potential 12 point deduction in the offering potentially.

It's loans only and even that is going to be a stretch if you want anybody decent. Why would they come here to be potentially stranded on minus points.

But not from the club
The issue being how they structure the debut against club. They now seem to be loading debt onto the club.

Do you have a link to where the EFL has banned all Leveraged takeovers?

To be honest, the legal issue is separate from the club, so if they don’t want to make a statement on that, fair enough. But the fans absolutely deserve an explanation for why we’ve got no money to buy players and are constantly relying on frees and loans.

We’re being left behind by other teams, and right now we’re not just spiralling; we’re in free fall back to League One. It’s unbelievable to think that only two years ago we were in the Premier League, and now we’re watching the club slide backwards with no communication, no plan, and no reassurance.

Most fans can understand that a drop of parachute payments to the tune of £40m and subsequent SCR rules were always going to make it a season of readjusting.

Despite the meltdown over our owners ,its reassuring that the club is operating within the rules and within its means.

Yep that’s the other side to it & completely fair.

I do think these in house leaks are coming from our managerial teams frustrations.

It was always going to be Frees and Loans , wilder said as much.

The frustration is clubs not wanting to loan , not that we dont have money as that was always the case.

As it stands we have a capable squad , not brilliant but not terrible by any means.

I wonder if Wilder will reach into his deep pocket like Bassett did when the club was short of money ?
He will only stop off at the off licence to buy a cargo of cans when we have played shit and lost. The offies did well last season.

I’ve said before they’ve either sold Wilder a pup or they’re all in this shitshow together.
That is an interesting point. I know a professional player that when young and in the squad of a PL side, who was given a new 3 year contract by the manager. The manager knew he was for the chop so looked after a few before he went.
