I think the number 8 shirt will go to a player we haven’t heard yet but will be a good prem option for a loan. This guy was class at Celtic but for some reason he’s never been given a chance at Brighton. He’s been ill through pre season and has lost weight and the Brighton manager has spoken about ‘options’ and ‘what’s best for everyone’. Wilder said he’s waiting for players who the club themselves are holding out for permanents and I think there’s a good chance he’s who we’re looking at.

He’s a CM he’s far too good for the championship genuinely gifted player that works hard and has an end product he’s a prem level player no doubt. There’s no shame not being able to get in Brightons midfield.

He’d be an outrageous signing for any championship club. If by some miracle we did manage to get him he’d transform our midfield and would probably genuinely make us a contender.

All about opinions but I’d be chuffed to get him not that I think we have any genuine interest. I think he’ll go abroad I don’t see what a move to the championship does for him at this point in his career but I could be wrong.

I won’t hold not establishing himself in Brightons midfield against him the players ahead of him are excellent. He’s a lower end prem player for me which is a big step up from a good championship player. I think the gap between good championship footballer and lower end prem starter / mid table squad filler gets bigger every year.

If you’re a Celtic fan you’d know how brilliant he is.

He had a bad ankle injury after his debut for Brighton.

If he came to the championship the only club would be West Ham - way too good for this league.
