Hello!!
As the title suggests I come here without menace!

I just thought I'd gauge your thoughts on tomorrow nights JPT Trophy match.
We're not particularly threatening in front of goal and based on your recent low scoring matches I fear a dull 0 - 0 (followed by the longest penalty shoot out in history for all the Sky community to watch). I also think the attendance is going to be around the 1,500 mark which is going to look atrocious.

Anyway, I look forward to your thoughts!

P.S. Stop taking out players and then loaning them back to us!!

You'll be lucky if you get much response to this. Most on here have other things on their mind at the moment!

We need to stop going shopping at your club.

Anyway I think match may go all the way to penalties, depends how Clough sets the team up for this one.

I assume we won't be playing a striker upfront.

Where will you be watching it? There may be one or two Blades in the Bedford Arms

I would expect us to run the risk of another fine from the Paint Pot authorities by naming a much-changed XI. On the bright side, that should bring a starting opportunity for one of our best prospects (Louis Reed - who else?!)

Can't see it being a classic but two years ago we went to Notts County in the JPT with a reserve team and won 4-1 so I guess anything is possible. For those interested, our line up that night was Long, Westlake, Maguire, Hill, Williams, Flynn, Doyle, Harriott, Chappell, Porter, Miller.

Balham's prediction: 2-1 United. Line up (4-4-1-1): Turner, Davies, Basham, McGahey, Harris, Flynn, Doyle, Reed, Campbell-Ryce, De Girolamo, Porter. Probably the shortest team in English club history - Porter got in ahead of Campbell-Ryce as he's taller!

We need to realise that Dean Smith is very, very good at getting the best out of players in a small squad. Some of the allowances he made - particularly with Brandy - were just never going to happen at United. All-in-all I'm just glad that two of the three we've got from you have been on frees - even then they've not been value for money.

One of the most enjoyable matches I've seen us have on the box. Made all the more amusing by Jordan Stewart scorning a gorgeous consolation for County.

6-5 to us tomorrow with the world watching.

Ched's back.

6-0 Blades win apparently....

Thanks for the responses, hopefully the game will be lifted by SKY recording it. We're a lot stronger than we were earlier in the season but have no depth to our squad (we never do with our budget) so we'll be playing the same 11 we did in the FA cup I'd imagine. Bradshaw has netted 9 goals in 14 games for us this season so he's the one to watch for us.

I'll be watching it in The Alex, but might venture to the Bedford if it's too crammed ;) !!

You'll barely touch the ball in a ridiculously one-sided mauling. 0-1 Blades

Wonder if Ched will travel with the squad...

I suspect that tomorrow night will comfortably be the lowest crowd I have ever been a part of watching SUFC. And the smallest set of Blades as well.

I'll go for 0-0 after penalties, ref gets bored and tosses up for it. We lose due to calling tails after being sneakily told it's a double headed coin.
Not saying our players are fucking thick or anything but making the correct decision is very difficult for them.

Funny how Walsall managed to get the best out of those players but they seem to fail miserably when they come to us, grass isn't always greener. Bradshaws has got 9 in 14 games ?, you've got a striker in your team ?, what's that like ?, we've been searching 2 and a half years for one, every time someone looks like they may be going to breakthrough, it's either injury, needless suspensions or getting involved in dust ups in nightclubs and having their jaw broke.

Hi there, will your social club be open at the side of the ground? Enjoyed it in there in the past when I've been.

Doyler is looking forward to it. He never mentioned Ched once ;)
He remembers being part of a Chaventry side that beat the Saddler, nay, spanked them 1-6 at the Bessy

That was a bad day in the office, comfortably the worst goalkeeping display in the history of football. Even if we had 11 players on the pitch we would have lost by that much. We got relegated by one goal that season.

In response to the questions about Warsaw it's kind of bitter - sweet. At least it makes people acknowledge our existence. During Euro 2012 I think Walsall were mentioned every time someone played in Poland's National stadium.

Naturally I hope tonight's fixture is a thriller with Walsall coming out top, other than when we play you again I hope you enjoy the rest of the season with or without Ched Evans.

Rival fan sincerely wishing us luck without pouring scorn/shame over us, calling us 'scum', or making some joke about us having a front 3 of Evans, Stalin, and Pol Pot??!!

What... are ... you? o_O

Were you (or your dad) there Soton Sadler when you nicked a win at Bramall Lane. Don Givens missed a penalty for us. We got relegated to Div 4 and you stayed up> Despite all the trials an tribulations since - that was the worst ever, just pipping the 2012 Penatlty shootout. :(
