Underwhelming

See a lot of moaning but I'm well happy with this window. LCB, CDM, LCM & GK all super important, what we've been wanting for a year. Hopefully strengthen further in Jan when results start picking up.

So we’re back to square one if it doesn’t work out this season given they’re all loans.
moan moan moan

Underwhelmed- what a load of bollocks.

A very good transfer window for the Blades with four (yes four) players who will go straight into the starting 11.

Huge difference to last few windows when the majority we shipped in were fringe/squad players, most of never worked out.

unfortunately in this mad new world of football season long loans are the way forward.

Now get behind the manager, get behind the team and let’s start winning games.

Thanks must snap out of it!

We have definitely strengthened the first team and brought in actual starters, better than what we've currently got. Apart from Olsen, they seem to be the Wilder type of player rather than sexy exotic pacy french/Spanish players that I thought Slav would have his eye on. Maybe its our old mate Brexits fault.

If we had signed messi and Ronaldo some twat would be disappointed with them being over 30 .I think we have brought in some class players wd prince and the ones we missed out on maybe get in January to push us on

A winger and it would have been a good window but we are still faced with the same wingback problem if we don't change formation

By January they'll all have splinters in their arses and not have played a competitive game for months. Just what we need.

Agree FB.

Whilst SJ was obviously after natural wingers to better fit either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 he now has a problem to minimise the 'square peg, round hole' situation. I think he's either got a choice of either sticking with 3-5-2 which the squad is a better fit to (although M G-W) will enable a getaway from that horrible flat 3) or, as I think will be more likely, he continues with trying to fit players to the formation. The wider positions will obviously the most obvious challenge and it will be interesting to see how SJ addresses it - I wonder whether Freeman would come into contention for the left-hand side and, dare I say it, Burke on the right. Not ideal but possibly the best option with the players SJ has at his disposal.

We’ve seen how much new midfielders can complete change the way we play the 3-5-2. Norwood took is to a new level when he signed and lunny brought us goals when he played in the first PL season. We now have a deadball specialist who is proven and one of the best in the division and MGW who has always shone whether that be at swansea, England u21 or wolves. Add to that ben davies whose first and only thought is to get the ball forward and has a great long ball. Olsen for nothing but wages for the year is great business. Swedens number 1, will organise the defence and bring a presence. Furthermore bringing Ndiaye back in the frame is practically a new Exciting signing and RND has been great in my opinion. Always wants to get the ball in the box. Thats 6 new players essentially who won’t have lost confidence due to last season

This will cause controversy but i thought the match we created most was when mousset played with burke and didzy on wings. Play one of our many strikers with 2 of Ndiaye/burke/bogle/freeman on the wings

I think Moose is still key for us. Hopefully after international break he'll be back for another 20 mins of football

Anyone that gripes about that being a poor window is being wilfully contrary. All 4 new lads improve us.

Safer at the back? Check

Very solid, ball playing defender? Check

Deadball specialist with the ability to play though the middle third and hurt teams and is an assist machine? Check

Wonderkid who can change games, run at the opposition, break the lines, assist for fun? Check

To not see the obvious potential that these additions, mixed with our existing qualities illustrates, to me at least, either a willfully bleak disposition or a complete lack of football understanding.

Silently i think the same but just didn’t want to start up that debate again

He's not. He's talking about the French lad Karamoh which broke down on permit/visa issues.

Maybe this is the government's fault not SUFC? 😉
Karamoh has French citizenship as well as Ivorian, but because he is not a senior international and made relatively few Serie A appearances, he is not given a work permit for the Premier League.

Can he have one for the Championship?

I think watching the match today I was bit critical at how we gave the ball away all too easily, especially first half. However, no Ndaiye, (and how that might affect MGW performance) no Berge, 3 goals away from home, could’ve been more and most importantly, 3 points

What’s not to like?

He is quite something. Not sure that I have ever seen a player come in and have such a positive influence on our football.

I hope we are already tapping up Wolves to extend his loan.

Matt Philips is the one I can most think of.

We have to presume Wolves will recall him and plan accordingly, whilst trying to keep him of course.
