Ossett Town are managed by a friend of mine . I ve asked him if I can stand in the dugout by him in my Blades shirt. You ll not be shocked by his reply.
Anybody else attending??? I know its not exactly a high profile fixture.

One Carrier Bagger has got an early Saturday morning flight from Faro to Bradford Airport in the hope he can get to Ossett for kick off. (Not me, I hasten to add)

I've said before, we're a diverse & inclusive firm. All welcome. No entry requirements. The only stipulation is - No Runners
But, the idea of a Carrier Bag Academy does appeal. Steve Mackan had better get ready for an avalanche of Carrier Bag Academy whimsies for Dem Blades Fanzine.....

Hes obviously risen to the challenge of me requesting to stand by him in the dugout in a Blades shirt, this is his latest reply : Would say chances are very high but if you give me any abuse you’ll get it back in equal doses

No. Look, Ossett are a proud club who have been through a bit of mither over the years. You'd be mortified if Wilder let someone stand next to him in the dugout wearing the colours of the away team. No reason to treat a club like Ossett, with passionate fans, different to say Leeds. Just because they're "non league", they're still a football club, like ours. Better plan. Buy some ale in the clubhouse. Help them with their finances. Smile a lot. Shake a lot of hands. Let them know. We're Sheffield United. We're different. We're happy to treat them respectfully.....
But, otherwise, knock yourself out ...

My request to him was very much tongue in cheek as he well knows. I would nt really do it. He will have people he has to answer to who probably would nt like it.
I will however get as close as I can to him from the stand and give him some banter. Of which he expects and will give as good as he gets.
I will also do as much as you suggest above.
