So with the estimated £36million in the kitty ( initial £20 million and then the £14 million for Ndiaye and £12 million for Berge)

Here is what we have spent so far:-

Anton trusty - £5 million
Vinícius Souza - £10 million
Gustavo Hamer - £15 million
Cameron Archer - £18 million
Anis Slimane - £2 million
Benie Traore - £4 million
Tom Davies - free
Yasser Larouci - Loan

TOTAL = £54 Million

With that about spent I can only see loans being added now but the Transfer team may surprise us!

£46million?

So your numbers are those fair enough. I thought it was a combined in, of 32million for ndiaye and Berge.

Souza a fraction under 5 million.

Traore 3.6m.

I accept slimane fee.

Trusty I thought was 3.6m but I'm not sure. Quick look at that means we spent about 47m in transfer fees out of 52m. Dunno

Ndiaye was around £20m and Berge £15m. Both have achievable add-ons too.

Trusty was £5m and, incidentally, became our most expensive defender of all time when he signed. Where did you get the Souza figure from? It was widely reported between €10m and €12m.

Anyway your income adds up to 46m... I missed that mate 😁😁😁😁🍻🍻🍻🍻😂😂😂

  • The maths is wrong (20+14+12 = 46 not 36).
  • Nobody ever said that our starting kitty was £20m.
  • Budgets include wages, agents’ fees, signing fees etc. as well as the ‘price’ of the player.

Bottom line is that it’s futile trying to equate one thing against another when it comes to transfer window spending.

Well with your 35m coming in and I was sure I read lower on Souza, but if it was 10m euro, between us we ain't far off. I thought trusty was Euro but like I said, I'm happy to be wrong but we've certainly not overspent on fees based on the numbers about. Very good business whatever division we start in next season.

Contract situations which shouldn't have happened but it could be worse, we could have the Leeds regime to negotiate contracts.... 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Correction we had £46 Million to spend.

P.S No one ever knows the exact amounts spent on transfers and agent fees etc I can only go on reported. They are near enough!

Your right the 20m budget wasn't ever confirmed (obviously) but its looking about right

To be fair to the board they have delved a lot deeper than I thought they would. So thats at least promising.

El accounto saying we still have room for 2 x prem loans and a possible permanent dependant on fee and wages.

Are we counting the Archer deal from this year's transfer budget? I think we'd consider it £18m from next year's, should we stay up.

El accounto seems to think its out of next years budget, paid for by securing loans against future payments, if we stay up we get more prem rewards if we go down we get our money back.

Before the Archer deal, Darren Smith said we had spent a net £6m
But what does that 6m represent?

No Agents being paid?
Not a single signing on fee being paid?

These will obviously account for a sizeable sum yet you'll still have some completely ignoring them as if these ones get funded by the magic money tree. It all comes out of the same pot.

You'll see on most lists:
Larouci - loan
Davies - free

Yet we will be paying a loan fee for the first and a signing on fee, probably some short term accommodation and for the latter, with no fee for the club, he'll probably have pocketed a decent amount himself otherwise he could have just remained at Everton. Players make money when they move and he would have been no exception.

The fact we lost two good players but who were 12 months away from generating zero, and now have replaced them with contracted players shows that unlike last time in the PL when we literally sold nobody for any fee, we are at least generating working capital to secure us long term.

Keep forgetting we signed Tom Davies

Not a clue. This topic is one of the most pointless to speculate, as unless it’s absolutely bang-on accurate, and you have an absolutely bang-on accurate view of what additional potential ins and outs would be, it means nothing.

My guess is that’s about half right in terms of immediate outlay.

Not 55m?
Budget 20m
Ndiaye 20m
Berge 15m

Slimane 2m
Traore 4m
Trusty 5m
Souza 10m
Hamer 15m
Archer 18m
= 54m

So weve spent 19m on transfer fees like it was quoted in the early summer. (20m budget)
(Rough guesses btw from reports)

It was Alan Nixon writing in the Sun who said our initial budget was £20m. No idea where he got that info from and as far as I'm aware, no one connected with the club ever came out with an exact figure. Darren on Twitter is saying our initial budget was Traore, Slimane and Trusty as permanent transfers and Larouci and Souza on loan, which would be around £11m in transfer fees + wages + loan fees. With Ndiaye and Berge out and Hamer, Souza (permanent) and Davies in, he reckons we've spent a net of £6m, which is presumably now £24m with Archer, which is not too far over what Nixon predicted. With that said, Archer is apparently either a guaranteed £18m refund if we go down, or coming out of the money we get for staying up, so whatever was allocated to his transfer might still be available to spend now (for loans or permanents)

With Archer and two attacking midfielders arriving soon (hopefully McAtee and Pellestri) that'll be 10 new signings this summer. Funnily enough i still keep seeing people wanting another 5 positions 🤔😮

The bottom line is that we haven't signed Archer yet
