Been out in Hillsborough tonight. Had the mouth breathers stating “Different next year, will be higher in the league than the Blunts. WAWAW”, whilst going home to apply for a job at NASA. Compared to their spunking of chairman fish finger’s cash we spent about £37 last year on new players. Ever spoke to a Pig fan with one ounce of humility? No, neither have I. All I wish on every Wednesday fan is an Ebola case of the shits whilst suffering from whooping cough.

They're amazing, i chat regularly with my piggy mates and they talk that next season they're hampered by EFL FFP rules, which is entirely true, leading me to believe that they understand their situation.... However, in the next breath its all Forestieri this, Bannan that and Rhodes... I immediately remind them that these players haven't exactly being there, consistently for them and they dismiss that with "yeah, but if they were fit and on form"

And lets not forget that all summer last year everyone knew that they needed defenders, they didn't really sort that issue out.

Its great that they have produced 5 decent performances this season, 2-3 of which were at the end of the season when they, nor their opponents had anything to play for.

It'll be an intriguing summer

The lad I work with (a Blade) says “if we played Wednesday nah we’d get battered” to which I reminded him that we aren’t playing them, we have played them (twice) and didn’t get battered whatsoever. “Yeah but they’ve got Forestieri” - and? That’s irrelevant. You can only beat what’s in front of you and he wasn’t. So we did.

I notice they’ve been linked with Marriott at Peterborough. Some of the comments are fantastic. One Peterborough fan (friends with a pig) said “yours for £5m” with the tongue out emoji. The pigs then discuss Sam Winnall going to derby for a few million and Fletcher leaving, freeing up £50k a week. All done and dusted. Another pig says “league 1 and this division are a massive step up” - that dopey twat clearly dozed off all last season.

Football (and sport) is all about trajectory...

To a certain extent both team have hit a wall as the 17/18 draws to a close and this Summer will determine what direction we go in.

If we lose Wilder and/or don't add to 3 or 4 first teamers we need, then we'll be heading backwards at a rate of knots.

Similarly, if the Snort Beasts don't bring in 3 or 4 players, then any momentum they may have built up in the last 10 games will be gone.

Intriguing times as I think we're neck and neck at the moment in terms of squad development.

Its the inconsistency in their comments which gets me or the fantasy land comments. Yes, i agree, if all those things that they talk about come together, then they're a top side, but the truth is that none of those things happened, they sacked their manager, brought in a new one (and he struggled initially) and they finished closer to relegation than promotion (just).

Next season, its all about what they can do to change that. Yes the likes of Forestieri, Bannan and others being fit will help. Those players being in form will be a boost too. But looking at patterns over the last couple of years, there is a lower probability of those things happening.

So then there is FFP, they're stuck with Rhodes, from what i've picked up they don't have much room to manoeuvre, so bringing in new signings will be tough unless they shift some of the players out. And this to me will be the players like Forestieri, Bannan, Reach.... because they have a value.

End of season predictions from me (with exactly what us and them have now) i have put them at 15th next season. I'd put us at 8th with Wilder, 17th or below without Wilder.

The lad that you work with sounds as thick as a Pig. He must have Pork in his genes.

They are deluded, they have been massively inconsistent, why should that change. My gut feeling is forestyfairy is a mercenary twat and having finally turned up for the last 2 games of the season he will be touting himself around for a move. He has no loyalty to the piggies.

I was talking to a Pig mate last night.

"Going to put £10 United to go down and Wednesday to go up"

"With a fully fit squad we are best in the division"

FACT: Sheff Utd are a top half Championship side,Pigs are a bottom half Championship side, anything else is pure conjecture and opinion, the Pigs mantra is and always has been,' Cudda Wudda Shudda '.If i knew latin,i could translate and use this as their club motto,it is the perfect fit !!

The very mention of Bannan as some kind of midfield demi-god is shaming.

Not worthy to be spoken in the same breath as the consistently superb John Fleck. At H'borough Bannan was a lame shadow that could not compete with either Fleck or Coutts. There are games when you either step up or you hand the shirt back to the manager, yet Bannan seriously thought he could compete with any of the Blade's midfield.

Bannan is on that familiar career slide, wendy being one of those stop-offs that contribute to feathering a nest. Regardless of any S6 delusion, of which there seems to be plenty, the fact that we're more realistic will always give us an edge that they'll never understand.

I like Bannan to be honest and certainly think he's one of their better players. Don't think there is much in it with him and Fleck though Bannan has already failed at the very top. Be interesting to see how far Fleck goes.

I'll slightly doff the cap as it's you oh wise one. Bannan has been good, he had a chance and never took it by the throat, whereas Fleck still deserves the opportunity to show just how capable he can be. As things stand I'd put my money on Fleck any day. A more dynamic, energetic player with an eye for a pass. And woe betide anyone who chooses to tackle Flecky. Tough and then some, no worries there you Scottish gem.

What I am looking forward to most this summer is the eagerly awaited new Wendy kit, last years was hilarious but I think they could better it this year, mind you its only around three months ago that they could purchase it so will they/ wont they bring out a new kit and when, exciting times.

Most of the ones I know are through work and to be fair most of them have developed a healthy cynicism about the MASSIVE.
A couple stopped going to games when Chanser hiked the prices; another is outraged at how Chanser has turned the club into a self promoting ego trip and one or two more seem to have given up caring altogether. We'll see how long that lasts though I guess.
And then again there is always a couple; one convinced we just got lucky this year and another who insists that Sheffield will always be blue & white. When I pointed them towards the league table they claimed "it's about culture not numbers" I nearly spat my tea out at that and even his fellow grunters were laughing at him! Needless to say he was talking about how they are bigger, hmm not about numbers eh? Thick cunt.

It's quickly becoming one of the biggest jokes in football that he hasn't had a Scotland cap. It's actually my main source of concern with him leaving. If he's playing as well as he is now and can't get a cap then he may wonder whether he will have to move to get in

I think it must be twatting saint Ally McCoist at Rangers that is still keeping him out of the Scotland reckoning.

Cardiff and NW is my answer here - sadly.

I know it’s not the point of the thread but there are one or two m on here convinced we will get promoted next season. Equally delusional.

I think our porcine cousins could well challenge this coming season

I agree. As much as I dislike them, my views are tinged with the reality that they are a different proposition under their current manager. They finished the season like a train and it'll be interesting if they can strip away the dead wood, keep foresteri interested and bring in some trusted german/continental players. I appreciate that they are tip toeing around financial issues, but i can see them being competitive for a top 6 next finish next season. I wouldn't want to have played them again in the last 10 matches of this season due to the disparate nature of our form. Overall we've had a good season, but we're not as good as some on here think.

I'll not comment on the pigs chances next season because unlike some on here, apparently, I've hardly ever seen them play.

However, "wishfully" is a different matter.

There is no “illusion” of delusion. It’s in their DNA.
