A lot of people will understandably say the Wendy goals, but for me:

  • Best away moment: Harrison Burrows match-winning late goal away at Bristol City. Absolute limbs. I don’t think any of us thought we were getting anything from that game before Oné scored.

  • Best home moment: Tom Davies’ winner v Sunderland. I was so fired up for that game, more than any before or since really, perhaps with the exception of the Leeds home game.

  • Best off-field moment: the first vid I saw of Wilder on the table after the Wendy home win, singing “sausage roll”. Never felt so proud to be a blade at that moment. I love classless, petty stuff as a footy fan, from any club.

I’m interested to know what others think. My moments are as a match-going fan (42 regular season games), so I haven’t got any pub watching moments this year.

I just came to write somewhere (and this thread seemed appropriate!) That even if we haven't had a season where we have played the most attractive style of football and we have come up short (although at the start of the season this would have been an absolute dream...), we have had some really quality pieces of football magic. Agree wholeheartedly with your selections.

Sydies turn in the build up to the Wednesday goal by browser, hamers free kick, just watched browsers ball through for Campbell, o hare has produced a number! (That dummy and the goal last week were quality).

Brewster scoring the winner against Wednesday is one of the funniest things to happen for years I'd say. Incredible on all levels.

Not on a par with that but I loved our second goal v Boro at home with Peck's through ball and Diaz's calm finish. Gave us back the lead we deserved.

Brewster scoring against Wednesday was perfect in every way so I'd have to go that.

Agree with the Tom Davies goal being the home highlight.

Off the pitch, Chansiris 8 hour meeting with Wednesday fans. Best moment was him getting a text saying Shea Charles had been recalled

All those already mentioned above.

The only one I would add would be the Blades away fans serenading Anel at the end of a match, after all the truth about his Dad had come out in the wash. Can't remember who we had played but we won (Derby?).

It was a great moment, and I can't have been the only one who felt like a total c**t for believing Anel had been the one at fault.

Good call. Hull away

I had a tenner on brewster to score the last goal so that was double delight but was made up for the lad on a human level
Think sometimes the criticism of players goes too far and I've really been rooting for the lad for a long time do it felt like redemption

Anel had the game of his life that neyt. Hull?

  • Peck's defence splitting pass to BBD against Boro at home (just as good as the one at the Sty), pundits would never shut up about that if KDB did it in the PL.
  • Hamer's involvment in Campbell's goal vs the pigs, when he put Bannan on his arse on the edge of their box.
  • Hamer against Coventry
  • Brewster Vs pigs
  • Burrows last minute against Bristol City

Definitely Davies' winner against Sunderland, I love a run-of-the-mill home match that becomes overly-emotional for no real reason - very much in the vein of the "Chirpy Cunts!" game against Blackburn Rovers a few years back.

Hamer's free kick against Coventry. I've seen him practicing free kicks in the warm ups and he's put it in exactly the same spot on 3 consecutive occasions (can't remember which game this was prior to). It was great to see him do it in a game!

Jackie Long Throw picking the Championship PO cup up, turning to the Blades at Wembley, and raising it to an enormous roar of appreciation and celebration.

The best bit of this season is still to come. UTB.

First half vs Leeds. Ended bad ,but 45 mins+ we were really good . Put away our chances and it would be very different ending.

His free kick warm up pre game away @ Blackburn was phenomenal

I think my top 5 moments in order of the season would be:
  1. Starman chant in the 2nd leg. A wonderful moment under very sad circumstances. Slowly watching the rest of the ground stand up from the kop and it just get louder, louder and louder was an unbelievable experience to be a part of.
  2. Watching Hamer and Campbell link up brilliantly to score the goal at Wembley, my first time going there.
  3. Double over the Wendy's but since it's moments, I've got to say the home leg goal after Harmer sent Bannan for a hotdog.
  4. Burrows last minute goal away at BC.
  5. Away win at Watford when everyone was injured and CW teared up in the post-match interview at the unbelievable win.
(Bonus moment) The United Twitter account getting hacked with the official account posting Bannan is "washed" and taking the piss out of his barnet.

Despite the displays for the vast majority of the season being meh, there were a few highlights, most already mentioned but I would add the overall display at home against, (Frank Lampards) Coventry.

id say tyrese Campbells goal away at QPR was a highlight for me it was a huge game at the time and massive win
