He would be fantastic in League One, but I guess he could play at a higher level in some other countries leagues.

He never did it in the Prem. If we get promoted it's a no. If we stay in Champ it's still a no. Rather bring on Jebbo and Will.
Oh dear....
You'd keep sharp over him surely..
Too old datAssuming it was on a free with reasonable wages, I could think of worse stop gaps, but I would have thought that we could target someone who isn't 33 already
His career will be shorter because he’s not going around calling people dickheads and shithousing? Right. He’s too nice. He should be an absolute shithouse. There’s no “let’s have it, dickhead” about him. Credit to his mum, but it will shorten his career.
Berge did him at one point and he just got up and genuinely smiled at Sander. Ooooooooo Scandinavian friends. Key ingredient missing.
I said that, no confidence. Couple of times he got between out CB’s, int past he would drive forward and 9/10 score but he did a Sander and passed it offHe looked scared. It was odd. And sad. He’s the one that should be scaring people.

Just under 1 in 3 in the PL for 2 atrocious Norwich teams (45% of all the goals they scored). Definitely seems like he’s past his best but the United fan rush to declare him as shit has always puzzled me
They cost insane amounts. Always room for capable players on short term dealsSettling for short term mediocrity is a guarantee for long term disaster.
No thanks, invest in players that will either be key players in the first team next season or develop into capable Premier League players.
Sargent was much better IMO on SaturdayJust seen his leaving Norwich in the summer. Wonder if we’d go in for him ?
They don’t have to cost insane amounts. Anel ticks one of the boxes, Ndiaye the other. They cost insane amounts. Always room for capable players on short term deals
If sharp had never played for us before and we signed him as a 37 year old with his prem goals record of 6 in around 50 appearances there would be absolute melt down on here calling for board to quit manager to quit etc etc , Sharp cannot have another season as a player with us regardless of the division next seasonOh dear....

Even if he accepted a wage reduction £1million a year isn't that great for not much return
They ate very much outliers, especially NdiayeThey don’t have to cost insane amounts. Anel ticks one of the boxes, Ndiaye the other.
If he helped keep us up that 1 million a year is a tidy return for us imo.Even if he accepted a wage reduction £1million a year isn't that great for not much return.

Agreed that definitely not big wages at that level. It's whether at that age he can have an impact and how long a deal he is after too, I imagine at 33 he is probably looking at one last payday to take him to 35/36. A 3 year deal is risky if relegation happens. That'd be 20 grand a week. That's fuck all in the Premier League - Newcastle are paying Clark twice that much. If he's completely done then yes, it would be a complete waste of money, but don't try to pretend it's big wages at that level. It's big wages if you're, say, a dolphin killer paying a balding central midfielder that much money in League One.
