The point being, doing more of the same will deliver the same outcome as the previous 100 years - absolutely fuck all. Even the dumbest amongst them would understand that.Completely true but that’s not their mindset though - imagine being the first owner to bring a trophy to Sheffield United after so long I’d be a legend for ever - that’s the way they think
I think we’re at cross purposes a bit I not disagreeing with your assertion but I don’t think that that’s their mindset. I think they think they can be the difference. How it has worked out for us historically isn’t great but people like this think that it’ll be different for them (Chansiri being a good example) . How it turns out god knows but they won’t be put off by the fact people have always failed before. The point being, doing more of the same will deliver the same outcome as the previous 100 years - absolutely fuck all. I'm making the point that a club that can average towards 30,000 gates, yet can't win a cup in a century, or maintain top flight status for any significant period in the last half century, perhaps doesn't have much to fear in any new takeover, no matter who it is.
Chansiri invested a fortune into the pigs - it took a monumental fuck up to derail them.I think we’re at cross purposes a bit I not disagreeing with your assertion but I don’t think that that’s their mindset. Completely agree albeit we don’t actually get a say so we get who we get and have to rely on the prince not to sell us down the riverChansiri invested a fortune into the pigs - it took a monumental fuck up to derail them.
If the only thing we knew about a new owner was that they were definitely going to invest a fortune into us (like Chansiri), but that they might also be a dickhead (like Chansiri), we'd be mad not to take that risk wouldn't we?- I certainly would.
And I believe that chances that someone who's happy to buy us for "£100M", and not invest significant sums (compared to what the current owners are likely to do going forward), is quite low.
Being owned by fans generally is likely to be very different from being owned by fans on here who want Mike Ashley !The amount of support for Mike Ashley, and the reasons for it, has convinced me of one thing, at least.
We should never, ever, ever be owned by our fans.
Perhaps you should ask the Wrexham fans what they get at half time !The yanks wouldn't settle for the shit snap on offer at half time at least. Big fuck off chilli dogs and burgers laden with grease.![]()
Reyt? This is small time mentality and similar was said of McCabe. "6th season in league one and selling our assets for nowt but hey, cheap tickets".If any new owner is in it for purely profit what do you think might happen to Match Day and Season Ticket prices
Just look over at S6 for an example even though hes obviously not in it for profit
I know a lot of you cant wait to get shut of the Prince but at least he has kept Season Ticket prices quite low

Have to weigh it up sometimes. Higher prices is more revenue is better players.
Yes, I'm aware it doesn't work exactly like that and ST revenue is a drop in the ocean but still. Nor does extortionate tickets equate to success. Just look down the road for that.
Interesting...

I did state in my post that high prices don't mean success and said Wednesday were the example. Don't forget though that their owner is a raging lunatic and they were relegated through cheating. So would you be prepared to pay £800 / £1000 for a season ticket (on top of everything else that is going on in the world). I want to watch my football club at Bramall Lane not be priced out of it by an owner that doesnt give a fuck about what working class fans can afford to pay to watch THEIR club remember football is nothing without fans
The Prince for the record hasnt sold our assets for 'nowt' and he gets the fans cant afford to be ripped off
Dont forget high Season Ticket prices doesnt always mean success just ask the unclean over at S6 they have League One and no cheap tickets
How do you know? There's fuck all about him onlineWas set to buy Newcastle before Bin Salman swooped in. Be amazed if it is him - mans very rich.

I wouldn't pay £800 not a chance. Some would though. I would go 500 on kop at the absolute most in this division. 600 in the PL. If it was on credit 0% interest - 60 a month. That's still affordable. I'm aware cost of living is sky high and football is a luxury so cheap tickets right now are commendable. Going forward I'd pay the sums I quoted. If we were in the PL.
