Unless you see teamsheets for under 17s you are unlikely to see a 16 year old in goal even for the u18s

There are very few games at U17 level.
There are plenty of U16s who have featured for the U18s. Thomas Betts was in goal last season aged 15.
I've not seen Gold in any squad.

I've just learned that Fuchs became Newport's manager a couple of weeks ago.

I think he’s behind Tom Betts in the pecking order at the minute Betts has been getting 18’s starts and he’s recently received U17 England recognition. Betts is only 15 or 16 himself.

He was on the pitch training warming up with the first team & half time on Saturday vs stoke.

Noticed that with the young brother when going down the rabbit hole of vids on insta trying to work out which team Ethan is currently playing for.

Usually when a player comes in as a scholar even from abroad he comes alone and is placed with a family in digs. All the Fuch family have moved to Sheffield from America with Ethan with the two youngest going to school in Sheffield, really big commitment uprooting them all. I’d say Christian has very high hopes for Ethan and wants everyone here supporting him.

It might be that the international clearance still hasn't come through (didn't it take months for Nwachukwu?) and he's in the school system somewhere?

Yes and they play in the NPL, couldn’t find his team going by Racings fixtures and opposition kit colours though. I’d say he’d need clearance to even play in the NPL so it must have come through, just a case of swapping his registration from the US FA to the English FA which doesn’t take long for decent FA’s to process and him holding a EU passport. Did worry for a minute he was playing for Derby due to the kit and him following Derby on insta but don’t think it’s the case.
