He's not a striker but a good footballer, let's stop thinking about goals and get behind what he can start bringing to the team. Utb

He looks very capable in that role behind the striker. He's above average at knowing which way to go with the ball, and winning the ball, and can also drift out to either flank with good effect
If he stays fit, he stays in the team
Having him up there improved us today. In home games we should probably be starting with 2 strikers
Maybe RB has found his best position?
I was a bit concerned towards the end of the first half. He seemed to pull up and motioned to the bench. He then trotted around till the whistle blew for half time. I was surprised when he came out for the second half. That magic sponge works wonders.Don't want to jinx it but this feels like the first time he's been fit for an extended period and getting regular minutes.
I'm not expecting him to be exceptional but he's looking more confident and comfortable after every game
How else would you look at football analysis?Do you mean nothing better to offer than statistics?
Why is it baffling to you, we havent conceded a fucking goal for a month, the left hand side has been magnificent with Hamer, Ohare and Burrows plus additions such as Rnd and MaCallum. Brewster who I like btw has had a couple of comeos but to play him on the left instead of tried and proven is mental.Playing O'hare/Hamer out of position on the left instead of Brewster is baffling by Wilder in my books
Brewster on the Left would make a lot more sense more chance to cut in and shoot more chance to take on his man
Also, i think it is time to give Brewster proper run of starts , Ohare is a solid championship player who has started well but he does not deserve a start any more than Brooks or brewster
For me, it should be Brewter - Hamer - Rak-saki for the forseeable
You are joking surely. I'm probably one of the fans what kept thinking he's going to come good , but that's sadly gone from me and cannot keep making excuses up for him, yes he's probably a very nice lad. But sadly to me it looks like his injuries have killed him....we need better and hope he can rescue his career further down the leagues.I think we should offer him a new deal. Maybe one year initially, but on reduced wages.
He’s only 24 and the poster said a one year deal on reduced terms. I’m not sure what the harm of that is.You are joking surely. He's supposedly on £34,000 a week! How much of a reduction would you expect him to take? He’s only 24 and the poster said a one year deal on reduced terms. I’m not sure what the harm of that is.
We certainly could do with more strength in depth. We need more strength in depth or even if it’s to send him on loan and hope he rediscovers some form then we can make a little bit of money back on him.
The money we've invested has proved to be a massive waste of money. Yet you want to risk wasting even more .But the money we’ve invested I’d consider a new deal
77 appearances. 5 goals!

Lots of people have been hoping he rediscover s some form for the last three seasons. It hasn't happened yet!

Cue comments that he's been injured/not been given enough minutes etc etc etc
How are you so confident he’s not on that money? He was actually wanted by other clubs when we signed him, so it’s actually the probable scenario that we offered him 35k a week with no relegation clause as we were doing so well at the timeHe is certainly not earning £34,000 a week.
I did not imply that he would rediscover his form; rather, I suggested that if we can negotiate a reduced contract, it could mean he becomes either the third or fourth choice, or is sent out on loan. This way, we wouldn't completely lose a player who cost us over £20 million for nothing, which could be a prudent strategy.
It seems you may have overlooked the point I raised, as well as that of the original poster. We're discussing reduced terms. To compete at a high level, we need three or four strikers. He has demonstrated potential; if he can maintain his fitness, he could be a valuable asset. Last season against Wolves, he performed exceptionally well, but we haven't seen that consistently enough.
I did not claim he hasn't received playing time. Based on your responses, I am beginning to doubt your ability to comprehend the discussion.

We should give him a new deal where he pays subs.I think we should offer him a new deal. Maybe one year initially, but on reduced wages.
