So what do you listen too?
Obviously BladesPod, but I couldn’t recommend ‘Flintoff, Savage and the ping pong guy’ more. At times it’s had me in stitches, so funny and they get into some ‘meaty topics’..

I tried the football ramble but it just wasn’t that interesting or funny..

Sad to say that these are all BBC, but also very good
5 live Boxing
Bespoke Weekly Cycling
Bunces Tales of the Extraodinary
Fighting talk

Ringside - Sky

School of Calisthenics
The Dair Podcast (sports and performance)

Looking at that list I just want to say how sorry I am for taking the piss out of some of your posts.

10 minute edit, tha still looks daft in Lycra ;)

I would recommend all of the below but if it’s football banter you want then the magic sponge is the best of the bunch for me.

That Peter Crouch podcast
The magic sponge
At home with Colin Murray

Big thumbs up for Fighting Talk from me as well very funny and the best podcast out there IMHO.

Also enjoy NotTheTop20 which basically reviews Championship, League 1 and League 2 each week. They also do a Betting Show which I don’t bother with, but their usual content on Tuesdays is class. Most recent one covers League 1 and League 2 only obviously.

Another good one is the Totally Football League Show, again comes out early on in the week and reviews the weekend’s matches.

Finally, as an late 80s child I grew up watching Gazetta Football Italia in the 1990s. Really enjoy Gollazzo, the podcast with James Richardson, which reminisces about classic 1990s players and teams along with reviewing current Serie A games.

Bladespod for anything football. As for general podcasts. The Ricky Gervais show, Ricky Gervais on XFM. Side splitting.

Kermode and Mayo's Film Review. I have little interest in keeping up to date with films but Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo produce excellent witty and mildly intelligent banter. There are more in jokes that you can count which take a bit of getting to, but it's gernerall marvellous

IMG_4310.PNG IMG_4311.PNG Couldn't be arsed typing them out. A bunch of footy ones (including an arsenal one) and a couple of F1

Flintoff etc is an excellent podcast
Flintoff is both very funny and talented but he also makes a lot of sense and is very thought provoking.
Fighting Talk with Colin Murray is excellent and loved his ‘Colin Murray talks to’ series. I think that he showed the ability to be an excellent interviewer. Great questioning, listening to the answers and adding his own anecdotes without the whole show being about him.

Listen to most of the ones mentioned above.

Another I can highly recommend is Set Piece Menu, which is yet another football podcast but rather than discuss the current going’s on, each episode is focussed on a different topic. It has Rory Smith who I find really good to listen to and Andy Hinchcliffe who, despite the club he used to represent, is actually very knowledgeable and interesting.

Athletico Mince - Bob Mortimer at his finest
Magic Sponge - very funny, especially the Graham Stack episodes
The Edge (Joey Barton) - excellent
Quickly Kevin - entertaining 90's football-based
Not The Top 20 Pod - EFL focused

Oh and Bladespod :)

Reminded me to catch up with this. Listening to an absolute belting episode.

“True or false, William Shatner was originally called Bill Shits”

Can’t beat The Totally Football Show imo. James Richardson is a very, very good host and the guests are all worth listening to.

I used to listen to a ton of football podcasts, but have reduced it down to just The Guardian Football Weekly and Bladespod. A mixture of not having the time and just being disenchanted with football in general. Just don't care that much about the sport in general any more, so I just listen to the very best. Lately, the Pinch's new podcast is creeping into the rotation, though. Think we're pretty lucky to have two high-quality podcasts entirely focused on the Blades.
