If as expected, Fleck doesn’t make it in time, I have a hunch not having him in the engine room where his role and quality to the side will be evident by its absence come 5 pm 😞.

UTB

He is arguably our most underated player.

He does lot of the stuff that doesn't catch the eye. like marking, tracking, harrying and chasing. Norwood can only hit the wonder quarter back balls because he has tough reliable partners around him. Replacing Fleck with a 'flair' player will simply mean that Lunny has too much to do and too many opponents to watch.

It is no coincidence that Fleck has been an almost ever present part of our meteoric rise.

Looking forward to the game. It should be another test of how far we've come and probably a harder test than the first two games. Leicester are certainly no mugs; but like a good number of teams that we'll face this season, are a team to be respected as opposed feared.

Leicester are a good side, and are currently in a position that we should be hoping to be in 5 seasons time. Comfortably away from relegation, focusing on moving from 10th to 6th, able to give the vast majority of teams in the division a good game and able to consistently purchase/attract a decent level of player.

They're probably at the start of a new phase of 1st XI, with the phasing out of the old guard, and the purchasing/phasing in of a younger, exciting guard. They have some top quality, mobile players, and Vardy & Perez are always a handful up front. They appear to play a formation that moves between 4-1-4-1 and 4-3-3, whether they are in or out of possession. The front 3 whilst attacking of perez, maddison & vardy, with vardy being the legs whilst they are out of possession. A midfield 3 of ndidi, tielemans and choudhury (rising star) anchoring behind. They've also got a lot more quality on the bench than Palace, and may cause us more problems in the latter stages of the match, especially if the weather is energy sapping.

Although they've only conceded 1 goal in 2 games, I think that they have a slight defensive fragility, although this is more than made up for by the quality of the midfield and attack.

I'd take a win if it were there, but I'd be more than happy with a point from this, as I can see it going any of a number of ways. It's the kind of game that could be anything from a 1-0 to us to a 5-2 to them.

Jamie Vardy - Slimy little snortbeast. He should sound like that Pitsmoor Pillock that rings Football Heaven. Hate him

Flying from 2pm to 5pm on Sat with no wifi. Is there any way I can get score updates in flight??? Might resort to asking the pilot to give updates over the comms system.

What the fuck is a quarterback? I've told you before this is football in Sheffield not some daft game from America. Don't let me have to correct you again or I will come after you like Trump after a Mexican.😉

Oh Jamie V
You look a cunt to me
I don’t think that you understand
You’re Harold Steptoe’s dad
And we’re all glad
You’re holding a pilchard in your hand

Last line might need some work.

I've posted previously taking the piss out of 'off season' and 'locker room' so I am not a fan of US shite-isms. This was a deliberate attempt by an old fart, to engage da yoof with one of my posts.
You have out-miserable-bastarded me and I stand in awe.

I'll be in the Cremorne from 1.45 if you want to come after me with a pint of Kelham Best. I won't be playing hard to get.

Only the one 'cunt' and no bastards' or 'twats' - needs more work.

Last line might need some work.

Have another beer mate and don't worry yourself.

Make sure you have a few cups of tea with your morning fag, to tune your vocal chords into the correct tone of abuse.

Ask the skipper for a half time update via ACARS. He probably won't do it, but I used to sit on the acars desk at work and loved a bit of shitchat. Mostly trying to send text based images up to 36,000ft. Brilliant way to misuse multimillion pound company equipment

Good team these with aspirations. Like many on here starting to think they'll have their worst performance for a while and we might just sneak it. 1-0.

So back in action at BDBL where we welcome former Premier League Champions, Leicester City. Undoubtedly our toughest game so far but once again there's always a chance. And I'm sure there'll be a very warm welcome for Jamie Vardy....

But anyway...

Any team news? :)

Fleck seemingly a doubt?

Is Robinson fit?

Changes to be made anyway?

Mcburnie a good option to go with from the start?

The crowd will really need to play a part this afternoon as we'll need all the encouragement possible. I'm going to be slightly optimistic and say 2-2. But I think today we'll see a just where we'll need to improve to maintain our top flight status. But it's still 11 v 11 so perhaps momentum can carry us through....

Alex the Leicester fan was doing okay until I realised he was about 13 and 3/4.

"Let’s not pretend, you lot despise Jamie Vardy because of his links with your neighbours. I am sure he is in for a frosty reception which he will revel in. The man is a record breaker and king rustler, he is our greatest ever player. "

Peter Shilton?
Gary Lineker?
David Nish?
Gordon Banks?
Frank Worthington?

No, Jamie-scroat-Vardy.

Keith Weller
Len Glover
Alan Birchenall
Alan Clarke

Fleck is a doubt - that's been stated in the press. Robinson is fit - he said that himself almost a week ago.

I'd guess it will be Luke Freeman in for Fleck - otherwise no change to the starting line-up from last week. Maybe Ravel on the bench?

Loyse ☹

I'm afraid on super 6 I've gone 2-1 Leicester, time to edit yet though.
I get more optimistic the closer to the ground I get.

Leicester, like Palace are an excellent counter attacking side.
So I suspect Wilder will be extra cautious again, not pushing too many men forward so we don’t get caught on the break.

Like the Palace game, first goal is massively important.

If we score first then we can sit back, we’ve already shown we are excellent at soaking up pressure.
If we score first we have a realistic chance if pulling off a 1-1, maybe even a win.

If Leicester score first, then we’ll need to come out and attack, towards the end of the match we’ll take risks and push more players forward.
This will play into Leicesters hands, so there’s a chance this could be a big lesson, with a 0-3 defeat.

No's 1 and 3 on that list played against us in my first ever live game on 26 Dec '70 , main ginge Steve Whitworth was right back that day and they all played for England.

My Dad was mates with Gordon Banks and his brother Martin and all used to knock about on Tinsley Rec.

No link to Frank Worthington other than a love of booze , casinos etc etc , but I feel a connection there ....!!

Your Dad will know my uncle, if he knocked about with Banksy on Tinsley Rec....ask him if he knows Sid Cooper.

Ben Chilwell a doubt. That's great news.

Maguire not expected to feature.

I'll be disappointed in anything less than a 2 goal victory with Ravel and Mousset getting on for a run out.

Disappointed Maguire looks unlikely to play. We could have done with the controversy and the game being awarded in our favour after the inevitable hearing.

I think after his performance last Sunday, I would keep Freeman in regardless of Fleck’s fitness. Might seem harsh on Fleck, but Freeman looked equally comfortable there and obviously played a key role in the goal. Rest unchanged.

Very different challenge for our midfield today against Tielemans and athletes like Ndidi and Choudhury.
