What a joke. Wilder playing the reserves/ U21s. I won’t be watching it as I would only get angry when we lose. Anyone actually paying at BL to watch this side Wilder has put out must be bonkers.

Good solid result. Didn't see it all in the end as my time zone is 2 hours ahead and I started early on the beer.

League Cup not a priority but good to win all the same.

Peck and Souttar were excellent. Seriki, Marsh, Hampson and Brewster were very good. The rest were very solid, aside from Coulibally who seemed to take an age on the ball during the first half. Everyone else was popping it about which made him stand out. Was a bit better in the second half. Grbic was Grbic. No further comment required.

Enjoyed the game very much. Better final ball and finishing would have seen us score a few more.

The final ball was also my only criticism of the Preston performance. If we can get that right, we're going to be hard to stop imo.

Always just a friendly really but we controlled and dominated that bar a few scares on goal. Little bit disappointed we allowed them to get a second but overall very pleased.

We look like we have squad depth now.

I was surprised by Sheff Utd Way’s summary of Trusty’s performance. I thought he was excellent - wanted the ball all night, looked comfortable with it, strong and quick. His goal was a cracking header too.

That’s how I saw it. He looks hungry for it and ventured forward when he could.

Good performance the young players played well Peck outstanding. Seriki looks very good hopefully is injury is not to bad. Great to see Souttar win everything in the air. looked nice and steady. Trusty was good. Brewster just needs to score and more luck.
