Luton are lucky cunts
Play more like a basketball team than a football team and have managed to win a game 3-2 without creating a goalscoring opportunity all game
Ah well hopefully we will be stronger when we play them next season

3 fuck up’s aside, don’t think we deserved the defeat at all.
Watched it for a change we need a spine, gk love wes but he's not this level, ch ?? , centre mid or another like macatee and a striker?
If it wasn't for being unlucky we wouldn't have any luck at all
We not staying up but if we just prepare for a push to come back up and show a bit of fight doing it

It wasn’t a corner.

But when you’ve given up so many leads in one season, you have to have a look at yourselves.
That’s very true but it is also all about fine margins.

We’re now 6 behind Luton. A proper decision and we could have been level.

You need these to go your way and they aren’t doing.

But you do make your own luck to some degree. Last two games Wes has given away 2 goals. Then 2 OGs, though also a bit unfortunate.

Played much better when we went 3-5-2 and then went to shit when big bad Carlton Morris came on, we just can’t defend against him for some reason.

Unlucky with 2 goals.

Thought we had a few decent performers today, McB did well with little service, Souza and McAtee were good when they got into the game more.

Wes was awful and our defence really struggled with Doughty and Adebayo first half. Anel looked terrible, Trusty isn’t a LB.

The 3 subs at the end were poor, Norwood put a few shit balls in the box, Brewster looks like a lost sheep and Osula had a couple of positive contributions but is a bit headless.

When Jack scored his own goal didn’t their player have a strong hold on the front of his shirt, and wasn’t he pulling him out of position just as much as Wes was when Villa’s ‘goal’ was chalked off?

Does anyone know if Rovram’s goalie is playing well this season?

Criminal defending for the Robinson og, whoever it was out on the left touchline just gave up on trying to stop the cross coming in, couldn't be bothered to shut their man down and stop him getting the ball in,inexcusable at this level and in front of your own fans

I think Robinson had more than enough of their players shirt for VAR to not intervene tbh.

Robinson was just weak in the challenge and off balance.

But was his shirt being pulled or not?
No,their players just stood and made himself a physical presence,Robinson just got underneath the ball too much and didn't get high enough to produce a PL defensive clearance

I think this is that defining moment , half way through the season with 8 points, that we all know we are down and maybe it’s for the best for the club to evaluate its priorities, regroup, and prepare for an all out assault in the championship next season.

But there is not doubt, this is it, there is no way back from this day.

Toledo

Most of them are only good enough for Championship football.

Let's be quite honest, we've already spunked the money for the parachute payments on the payday loan, so next season we have no money if we aren't still in the Prem.

Most players we have are out of contract. We have almost a brand new squad next season, and it's gonna be free's.

We are cannon fodder next season.

Quite honest or no fucking idea what you're talking about

Tend to agree that as a collective of individuals, this is up there with the Adkins squad as some of the worst to represent our club.

The best United teams I’ve seen, all give a fuck to a man when its backs against the wall. Too many of these make too many very simple errors, dont work hard enough or just simply dont give a fuck.
Luton also have been clever in getting in Townsend Barkley and Chong. The first 2 have serious ability plus they are experienced in PL. Chong as we know is decent. The manager must get some credit for having a go.

In our case we went back to McAtee for a loan. That is fine on its own but when you don't add an experienced and capable player with him you don't see the best from him. Our experienced players are Norwood and Fleck. Both are finished at championship level not to mind PL.
Souza and Hamer are generally fine but not at the stage of being a leader.

We have players and a team playing worse than the sum of their parts because for too long we haven't defined how we play. We have a collection of individuals playing as individuals because we don't have a leader or two to knit the team together.

Ditto

barring freak results, you have to say that our survival chances over. we had to win that we couldnt afford to go 6 pts adrift of luton & poor defending has cost us. when you score twice in PL or take the lead with 20 mins to go. you should be taking the points. that very disappointing

we seemed very rushed in possession. leading to nervous players & meant too many backwards passes for my liking. right decision for the 2nd as you cant disallow that. its a goalmouth scramble. luton wouldve been as desperate & as guilty as us if anything had happened

Think we were down anyway thanks to Newcastle

Clearly no leadership from our returning hero given that 1st half display. Not a clue what they were doing.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. We've taken loans out against future earnings (yet again) for next season. Whatever money we get for going down, we've already spent. So the rebuild is going to be on the cheap.

Tell me i'm wrong.
