Cooper being average is either an ability issue or a fitness one. Seriki and McCallum playing too attacking is a coaching/instructional issue and so on Wilder. If they can't defend despite instructions then either hook them or give them protection IE; stick Brooks on for Chong.

If Cooper had been anywhere close to average this season we’d have a lot more points. Granted, he wasn’t primarily at fault for any of the goals today. But he very rarely, if ever, prevents one (this season, at least).

The options are Matos & Soumare - both are rubbish

Brooks is a footballer, Soumare never will be. Id put Brooks in any position on the pitch ahead of Soumare. Just because Soumare is nominally labelled a CM doesn't mean he has to come on the pitch.

I do blame Selles and the board for some of this. We were so undercooked at start of season under Selles. Sold Moore, didn’t take mcburnie back when offered on a plate. Don’t replace Souza or Anel well enough - let Robinson go (I was happy to see him go) but then don’t replace them at all or with totally inadequate replacements. Plus last players lack of confidence he inherited
I will give Chris a pass until the team is more his. I think he’s done well to bring in Riedweld and Bamford without a transfer window. Think Bamford will not sign but hopefully we have replacements lined up.
I think Chris is still managing players not fit from a poor pre-season and low on confidence. Plus we have a powder puff defence without Mee. I’d be quite happy to see a load leave and start again in Jan
