After the first 20 minutes it was like watching a slow motion car crash, they pressed and won the ball too easily, found space too easily and had far too much quality in and around the area, the result was fair.

I wasn’t overly impressed with our in game management or Wilders subs… but that wasn’t a 1-3 game!
We played well for the most part but could’ve done with Holding coming on to lead the back line.
With 20mins to go we were right up there… but 20mins later and Leeds are the greatest team to ever grace the green hallowed turf!
Onto the next… I think this result will actually galvanise us for the last big push! ⚔️👊

Sorry, having lost that game have we suddenly slipped to 10th? Typical defeatist shite that's beginning to dominate this forum.
No, but we've thrown points away against 1st and now 1 game ahead of 3rd when we still need to play them, do you not feel defeated after throwing away points in the 90th minute?

We need the energy brought against Middlesbrough
THAT. It highlights the performance is dictated by a negative imbecile manager.
FOUR MISTAKES tonight
Biggest OHare is a useless lightweight
**** the back heels
Its football not the circus.
Clarke is mediocre and FAR WORSE than Gilchrist defensively
Best finisher BBD wasted deep on the wing.
Best attacker Jesus wasted nobbled on the WRONG wing.
Wilder OUT if you want #sufc to succeeed even wilh ALL the money in the world.
look at his **** signings.

Does it make you feel better writing shit like that after a big defeat
Another one with nothing positive to. Say ever who. Can't wait to. Come on mouthing off whenever we lose

Forum is chock full of wankers
Go change your tampon you massive fanny

I thought we played really well.
A positive setup by Wilder and it was good to see us go after them.

In the end, the best team won.
Leeds are relentless and grew into it as the game went on.
After their equaliser it started to feel a bit inevitable (as it did when they played Sunderland recently).

In the first half, Solomon had all the joy down our right.
In the second half, it was the combination of Bogle & James.
We didn't defend the wings well enough and that was our undoing.

Wilder might look back with some regrets on the subs (Hamer wasn't fit)... I was calling for us to move to a back 3 as we began to tire...

However, we gave a really good account of ourselves.
Souza was superb in the middle of the park. BBD and Campbell were great at the top of the pitch and I thought Anel had a really strong game.

If we can play like that for the rest of the season then we'll probably go up.
That would have been enough to beat anybody else in the league tonight.

Disappointed, yes. Defeated, no. When you believe you have lost before the event then you usually have. I can't abide that attitude but unfortunately, many blades thrive on it.

Bottom line, this game is played over 90+ minutes. Good teams know this, good managers know this, CW is a bit naive still on this. We'll go up, I have no doubt, but without major, major changes it'll be a weekly pasting next season. Enjoy the next few games cause we heading for a miserable next season.
Yours
Worried

this going to be a hard 1 to take. & for wilder to lift the players after that. because we were outstanding 1st 20 mins & it was still a decent performance for 1st 80 mins. i wouldve still been pleased with a point & a performance

its why I don't like anel & robbo in the big games as was shown in the 2nd half. collapse reminded me of luton on boxing day. we are just not good enough defensively since souttar left. everywhere else is premier league quality

since souza had that head issue, & we had that break in play. the intestity dropped & we never regained that level of 1st 20 mins. leeds became more & more dangerous.

Similar xG, but they were the aggressor in every way after 20mins and probably deserve it. Shame - we need to move on.

On a positive - Solomon, in open play, was the most threatening player in the first half. Second half that went away completely - Hamza at RB??? Not sure how many nightmare wingers we have to play between now and the end of the season.

I do feel the outballl threat died completely with Cannon for Campbell though. He fell over a lot and not too much more.

This is a painful one. I really dislike Leeds. I really, really dislike Leeds. So, so much. Like so much. It's the fans. So much.

Keep the faith - every time we lose, we bounce back.

Very harsh on O'Hare the lad runs himself into the ground, we look a better side when he is in the team

Difficult night.

We started well and roughed them up. Made it a fight and took the lead. The problem is we couldn't keep it up and it became a level game but they had more of the ball. The turning points were Wilder bringing on Choudhury at RB (when we needed that pace and bite in midfield) and an unfit Hamer. Our best player, but what we needed was energy (and I thought Cannon had his best game for us) and Hamer wasn't the choice. Not only did he get himself stupidly booked he was a bit lucky to stay on then defensively half asleep. Poor management from a manager who set us up right. Gilchrist sat watching the game in his cage in Wilder's dungeon. Clarke has now been poor most games so why our only other RB (I know, loan numbers, but that's bad fucking planning) is locked up in his cellar I do not know.

We lost to the better team though, so fair play to them. Farke changed things after a poor start and we couldn't cope with them at the end.

Cooper - 7.5 - Oozes control and confidence. Made a couple of saves you'd expect him to make before a great tip over.
Burrows - 6 - Did ok going forward but a bit defensively not the best game. Played Piroe on and far too easily beaten.
Robbo - 6 - Did ok but his lack of pace and acceleration shows against the better teams.
Anel - 7.5 - I thought he was easily our best defender. He's picked up the last few games and looks like a top Championship defender once again.
Clarke - 5 - He had little help from JRS but he gets beaten far too easy but also doesn't block crosses/passes out. Looks like a poor signing considering.
Souza - 8 - I thought he was our best player tonight. Seemed to be everywhere at times. Covered up for a lot of other players.
Peck - 6.5 - Put a shift in and made some good challenges and blocks but I thought he looked a bit ragged and slow to react sometimes.
JRS - 5.5 - Did a couple of good things going forward but largely didn't do a job tracking back. Oddly, I thought he was getting better when he was subbed off and our biggest threat.
O'Hare - 6 - Great header for the goal and gets in some really good positions/makes some good runs. I thought he was far too weak defensively at times.
BBD - 6 - Great cross in for the goal but he doesn't track his man for their first. I want to see a lot more from him to be honest.
Campbell - 6 - In the right place for the goal and always making good runs, whether for the ball or to take players away.

Subs:

Choudhury - 5.5 - Not a right back and showed in with his positioning. Tried really hard but often chasing shadows.
Hamer - 4 - He didn't look fit and hadn't trained. Should never have come on. Did a few good things going forward but lost his man for the second and could easily have been sent off for poor attempts at tackles.
Cannon - 7 - I thought he had his best game for us. Made good runs, pressurised and put himself around. He had no support though.
Davies - 6 - Did ok when he came on but I'd like to see him have more of an impact on games.
Moore - good to see him back.

Wilder - 6 - Set us up well after dropping the ball at Elland Rd. I thought it was obvious before half-time that they were getting more and more into the game. I think Choudhury and Hamer were wrong subs. Given the bench, I'd have wanted to put McCallum on at RB and brought Choudhury on for JRS. They ran through us far too easily from 65 onwards.
