What can you say , Jonny will be a big miss up in that corner of the kop , i will miss all the gang featured on those vlogs , never met them but seen them all at the matches , they all made me laugh with there different characters . What a lovely Bloke Kevin is though , the only thing i would say about Kevin is that i would love to have him as my 2nd Dad .
Rip Jonny your at peace now , pity he didn't get the treatment though .

Jonno if you read this , is it possible to do one last vlog at Derby Match , i know that match will be hard for everyone , but in his memory ? maybe ?

As Jonny ended with on his last message / vlog .....................UP THE BLADES ❤️ ⚔️⚔️⚔️

I woke up this morning and the first thing came to mind was Jonny. I am still in disbelief he is no longer with us, I have never met him and only knew of him due to his vlog.

During the the early Wilder years his vlog is something I liked to post his vlog in the highlights thread especially the away days as I think he brought fans closer to the game, as many fans can't always get to away games. I know some didn't like the language used in the vlog sometimes but he brought us a real fan day out. His editing of the vlog was top class but yet he never self censored it or tried to make it "YouTube / Media friendly" he showed you a proper match day out banter, booze, swearing, moaning and celebrations galore. I know a number of Blades fans do vlogs but his vlog was the one I went to watch especially after those memorable away games at Wednesday and Leeds.

He will be sorely missed by by all of us Blades. I know I have said some condolences on the other thread but R.I.P Jonny, my heart goes out to his family and friends during this awful time. A proper Blade UTB ⚔️

Awful, tragic news, never really watched any of the SV stuff but my two lads did and enjoyed the output.

As a fellow mental health sufferer my heart goes out to all those who knew him. It's a terrible thing and as men we must try and seek help and support our mates. I'm a facilitator at Andys Man Club, our motto is "it's OK to talk" and the club exists to help save "that one man".....

God bless Blade, RIP

Horrific news. Weird that despite never meeting him, I felt like I "knew" him in a way through the Shorehamview videos. Always wait for the latest match Vlog to land, and the one from bouncing day is one of the best videos ever put on Youtube. I hope his family read this thread at some point, and realise how loved he is. Rest in Peace Jonny. Top, top Blade.

I was exactly the same this morning. Woke up and it was the first thing that came in my.mind. When I first found out I was like no, please no.

It's been on my mind most of the day

My Son told me about this earlier today, what a blooming shock. We were fortunate to be stood a few rows in front of Jonny on the Kop for the past few years, although we never spoke he was an undoubtably avid Blade.

Rest in Peace and Fly High Jonny..

How many Vlogs were they about before shoreham view? And I’m not talking blades either as he was the original. How many around the country before SV?

He was certainly a trend setter, I don't recall ever seeing a vlog on football before I stumbled across his, don't think I ever missed one of his,and they became incredibly professional which was a testament to his work ethic

God I wish he had just found that strength to speak to someone one last time

I grieve like the rest of my fellow Blades on here and indeed others who have posted. I have thanked both Jonny and Jonno when I have happened across them in pubs on match day in the past and they really appreciated the feedback.
This does hurt and is testament to the difference this young man made to so many peoples lives, this in itself is a truly amazing achievement and is extremely extraordinary, for this Jonny lived a life so very much not in vain because of his beautiful children and for the unique and inventive way he brought pleasure to so many of us Blades fans at home and far away.
I’ve just looked and was shocked to see just how many years I have been tuning in to the Vlogs.
To keep us interested for so long for so many seasons can’t be underestimated.
At times when I have been alone I have sat down to eat my tea and watched the latest Vlogs that i eagerly awaited there release.
You felt like a mate and your mates felt like mates, this was your talent Jonny, a truly remarkable and extraordinary man!
Rest in peace, we will all miss you

Fly high Jonny you are no longer trapped in this 3 dimensional hellhole and you are at peace. I'm sorry you couldn't find your way out for yourself and more so your family!

I think all of us suffer from time to time, we all have our dark days and demons and that's OK! its OK to talk, its OK to fight but its also OK to let go!

In my job I experience this way too often and it makes me feel hopeless when trying to help. I take solace in the fact that people who suffer and let go no longer are feeling that mental anguish anymore, so Jonny, rest easy my fellow Blade you have left your mark, a positive one and that's more than what most of us do with our lives!

Still numb by this like others. Of course this is not within my remit to do or say but my mind has turned to a permanent legacy for a fantastic talented human being. I wonder if they could keep Shoreham View going, calling it Jonny Gascoigne's SV. I wonder if someone like Hal would step in with Jonno and Unite podcasters by doing it, he can let nick and the others do sheff utd way. That way, Johnny's creation lives on and it a fantastic tribute to him along with a permanent legacy and all his features etc? RIP again Blade, life is so hard and cruel isn't it. UTB

Great post

Anyone else found themselves watching any Shoreham View videos this week? I just thought it great to look back on even though it's so sad to see Jonny on them and know he's not with us. I really hope they do continue also but that's a decision for the future I'd imagine.

One of my favourite of their vlogs was at home to Oxford back when we were bottom of the league in league one and a few were calling for Wilder's head!

Quote of the day is from Rob saying "Why are these game players who failed still here like Freeman and Coutts"!

At the time everyone was thinking the same! The rest is history.

Only just found this thread and it's absolutely guttering reading this. Loved watching Shoreham View and seeing the bond with him their Kev , his close pals and his lad Billy. Condolences to all. Rest in peace Jonny.

Dreadful news. Totally heartbreaking. You will be forever remembered and seen in the fabulous work you did for all the blades family. RIP Bladesman
