Tragic loss.
Check in with your pals, rest easy blade ⚔
Really sad news.

I was a really big fan of the Shoreham View videos on Youtube...living abroad and not being able to travel back for many games this was my regular fix of what it was like to be a Blade. Meeting up with mates before the match for beers, discussing the team news when it came out, and then the inevitable Blades rollercoaster of emotions.

Jonny was a real wizard at the video editing and they were always beautifully produced.

RIP Jonny ❤️ ⚔️

l

same when i watched the mental health vid just half hour ago then heard this news i dont know him personally but watching his vlogs he was like a mate I'd never met truly devastating im gonna miss his wit and beer and breakfast jonny your loved from the blade's family ❤️
I'd see him knocking about at away matches.

Saw him at Blackburn away few seasons back. Had a great chat with him and his mate in boozer.

Proper liked Beer n Breakfast..was part of my Sat am routine. Like a Blades version of soccer am (before it went shit).

Terrible really terrible. His blogs actually got me into joining S24SU. My daughter got to know him whilst at Hallam Uni and Shoreham View was compulsory watching for me . The banter was inspiring . Going to be missed is an absolute understatement RIP mate say hi to Shred and the boys ⚔️⚔️⚔️♥️

Like many on here I didn't personally know him but felt I actually knew him from his vlogs if you know what I mean, tragic news desperately sad situation, my thoughts go out to all his friends and family 💔 ⚔️

cannot believe this news didnt know him personally bur watched all the videos on shoreham view must be devastating for kev and the family r.i.p. johnny lad top blade 😪⚔️

This is so extremely sad- all the utmost best wishes and thoughts to the family. On the face of it this lad had everything to live for-

He was superb at these Vlogs, came across as a very likeable lad - just goes to show Mental Health such a delicate subject, and without proper insight easy to be glib about it.

Like Jonny himself said if you are in the throws of despair- you must talk to someone, sad that Jonny's own advice didn't save him.

RIP

Like most, I’m trying to comprehend this news. I didn’t know Jonny but I enjoyed his material a lot. I can only imagine the devastation that his family and friends are feeling. My heart goes out to you. Rest in peace, Jonny. Your demons can’t trouble you anymore pal xx

Woke this morning and whilst I try and absorb the news, I just wanted to add a bit of substance as to what The Shoreham View meant to Jonny.

When catching up, obviously chat turned to The Shoreham View. I was explaining how good it was to see mates and people I know on camera when living away from home with work, somehow it brought United and match days closer to me again. Jonny was quick to point out that this was part of what it was all about to be fair. He had received expat messages from all over the globe thanking him for reconnecting them with the match day experience and for bringing happy memories back. This is a great deal of what The Shoreham View has been about for Jonny. His love for the club and the close social circle he has shared when following them has been constant, but he wanted to channel his passions into providing something well and truly for the fans. His content was always about his fans who meant the world to him and who he was appreciative for.

He explained how The Shoreham view kept him busy, but he really didn’t mind because it meant that much to him and others.

RIP Jonny, once a blade always a blade x

Minute silence on Saturday must happen
I totally get your sentiment, although coming from someone who didn’t know him well enough to call him a good mate but someone who would certainly chat to him about music, content, blades when I saw him one thing he certainly would not want would be silence ! I’m sure something will get sorted for him in the coming days. A big shoreham view flag permanently at the back of his gangway would be fitting and id imagine a rousing rendition of one Jonny gascoigne would too although it might choke up quite a few tears in that part of the kop.

Thing is mate, perspective is great but it's not as easy said as done.

Never feel bad for feeling low just because others have it worse ❤️
Absolutely right Davalon
I could not agree with you more….
Everyone’s mountain is their mountain…..
It’s a mountain to us because of the version of ourselves we currently are and given that we have no control over how our mind works (this is a product of evolution) and given that we have no control of our upbringing as a young person the core of ourselves that we struggle with is not our fault - sure as an adult we have responsibilities to try and do the best we can but the core and genesis of our issues is not our fault
It doesn’t matter how small your mountain appears to other people’s - I do appreciate that it can be inspiring when folks show courage and Humbleness in getting on with just awful awful life situations - but as you rightly say Davalon that does not mean that our issues aren’t as important or aren’t as serious or aren’t as worthwhile…..
We are all worthwhile and I wish you all the best Rusty view

Absolutely tragic this, feel for all his family and friends. I hope the club do a tribute for him

No tribute this weekend as per wishes of the family, while they get themselves together, but….

If we don’t get the GCB ‘na na na na na oooo’ correct to Jonny’s specification on Saturday, he will be fucking fuming 🤣❤️
It’s that kind of humour and petty arguments that make us blades. The best fan base in the world.

I think that pisses me off as much as it did him judging from his reaction in the SV vlogs!

"sing it reyt!"

RIP Jonny.

Awful awful news - his videos really showed what it meant to be a United supporter and his talent and production quality improved year on year.
So sorry for his family and friends, can only imagine what they are going through and hope they also get the time and support they need to grieve his loss.

Rest easy Jonny, we never met, but like others, felt like I knew you through your wonderful content.
A true blade ⚔️🤍

The more I read these messages the more upset I feel. No bad thing to be honest.

I’m thinking particularly about his dad who featured regularly on those videos and his mates especially the other Johnny who seemed to co-host the programmes. Must be heartbreaking for them
