You’re completely missing my point. Of course the players are good enough for the championship but nowhere near good enough for the Premier League. We hardly broke a sweat in a lot of our games because the standard of other teams was so poor in the championship. They’re undoubtedly past their best the players who got us up last time! Only Baldock, Egan & Norwood haven’t regressed.

Personally can’t see a bounce back if we went down this year as we will only have 2 players contracted for the 2024/25 if we can’t afford to renew the players contracts. Let’s hope we get taken over - sharpish.

Correct we did cruise to promotion but the championship this year was a lot worse than it was in 2018/19. But the problem is the majority of the squad at the moment was with us 4 years ago and are well past their prime and all out of contract next summer. We are going to have to do some unbelievable recruitment over the next few weeks to give ourselves a chance.

The majority of the squad weren't with us 4 years ago. Presuming Sharp, Stevens and Fleck go that leaves Egan, Baldock and Norwood (all of who haven't got any worse in the last 4 years) and Basham. I can't think of any others

Lee Nichols at Huddersfield has been terrific for 2 seasons. Heading into his prime years

Loved Heaton previously, I'm unsure if he's still up to it, but could be a good shout if he is not "past it" due to age/injury.

Butland has been a walking calamity for years though.

He got progressively worse for Stoke and ended up being shipped off to Palace to be their 3rd choice!

In my opinion,at least 3 players in the squad wont cut it in the Premiership.We have 1 reasonably fit striker Mcb,Brewster has injury problems,Jebbo is learning the trade,Norwood is more effective if he has a young,quick middie alongside him.

No,in my opinion,he could be o.k.in the premiership and most of the defence,too.The problems are midfield and upfront,Ndiaye can't do it on his own.

This squad is better than the ones we went up with in 06 and 19.

Plenty of issues, worries and unknowns (particularly given our budget) but the base level of the squad is very good for a promoted side.

Nahhhhh. Lost Ramsdale and Didz but gained Ndiaye, Anel and RND. We will obviously purchase players but even now I think the squad is better than the one that went down. I'll be amazed if we put out a team next season as bad as the one that beat Man U.
