Did you not go Saturday? This guy needs reporting, if not deporting to the Zambian 4th Division Under 10 League and he'd be lucky to ref a game there.
The worst performance I have ever seen, EVER in any form of sport.

Seen better in my Sunday league matches
True, but if the referee does his job as well then there’s every chance we have a different outcome. 11 v 11 there’s only one team trying to win the gameIf mcgoldrick does his job we win regardless of the ref , another 1 on 1 clean through and can't finish then misses an open goal from 2 yards that was actually easier to score than miss
Some decent games at heringthorpe. Don’t let that useless fucker ref one and spoil itI ve been trying really hard to think of a worse display from a referee.
I can't.
He was appalling.
His next match should be a Sunday league match on Herringthorpe playing fields.
There is no excuse for being that bad.
We were on the kop close to where MGW got booked first half. It wasn’t even a foul. He just touched the ball first. That’s why he and everyone in close proximity were up in arms about the decision. I had the wrong angle on the 2nd booking so will leave that to others with better viewsIt's debatable as to whether you could say Gibbs white dived. It looked to me like a foul but had he gone down a bit threatically?
However you'd like to see players given some benefit (that they aren't diving) unless its really obvious.
I mean Bogle went down easier to try and buy a pen in 1st half and that wasn't a booking so why it's different for mgw?
I can only assume because mgw went off at ref in 1st half when he got what did look like an actual booking?
After this and then a few more decisions including not giving saville a 2nd booking the ref completely lost it.
His head was gone and for both teams I felt he was giving random decisions.
The standard of reffing at this level is atrocious. And you don't realise until you've been in the PL for two seasons just how bad it is.
We were awful first half until a few mins before we scored. 2nd half we were all over them until sending off and then I felt it was pretty even and we actually looked the more threatening until they scored.
Those 10 players did well and were unlucky.
I did. Tonight’s ref made Keith Stroud look like ColliniDid you not go Saturday?
Anthony Taylor was the premier league referee that day when he stepped down a league and went all Billy big bollocks and sent Bash off for the ball hitting his arm at a free kick? Was the worst ref since Blackburn at home in our promotion season. Probably actually worse than him overall. Definitely the sort of game you see refs demoted for but I imagine they'll just put it down to a bad day at the office and let him carry on.

Mgw sweats blind theres contact, but the replays do him no favors at all. Slightly more cringe than Bogle in the first half, who didn't get booked. Too early in game?
If MGW was booked for diving, Bogle (looked like a dive to me) should have been in the first half. Had Bogle been booked it might have prevented any more diving. I just wish there was more consistency. If there was zero tolerance to clear cut misdmeanours such as goalkeepers holding onto the ball for more than 6 seconds, players not retreating and preventing quick free kicks, kicking the ball away to waste time, pinching 5 or 6 yards for every throw in - the list goes on and on. If they were punished for the first offence (early in the game), it would cut out most of the nonsenseMgw sweats blind theres contact, but the replays do him no favors at all. Background on the ref. He was a Southend United season ticket holder !
The thing that always riles me about bad refs is that there appears to be no repercussions for a bad performance, therefore no incentive to be better. Why aren’t they taken to task in some way? If anyone was to look at the inconsistencies in his decision making last night, they would have to say he didn’t know what he was doing. He let them get away with some obvious fouls then would immediately blow for one against. Is that was the same or less obvious. Not saying he got the GW one wrong, by the way, but their lad should’ve got a second yellow for that cynical trip on Fleck.
Yet another bad ref performance goes unnoticed and we are on to the next one.
And I don’t think our players get on them enough after the bad decisions; can you imagine Man U, Liverpool or Arsenal players in that circumstance, and Klopp would be on the pitch reffing it himself.
Yeah…who’s he think he is..Stevie Gerard?Gibbs-White definitely dived.
They did but I thought it seemed a bit half hearted - a few shrugged shoulders and waving in the general direction of the foul. It’s not going to change the decision I guess but maybe makes him act differently. Ultimately I am still angry at his performance, but as someone has already stated, he didn’t lose us the game.Actually quite a few of our players got at the ref for that second yellow for their lad.
Ha ha, attempted foul!Yeah…who’s he think he is..Stevie Gerard?
