Needs to be suspended and put in front of an inquiry to explain that performance tonight.

If I was Billy I would have celebrated in front of his face.
What I can't understand for the handball is that he has such a good view of it. His assistant is on the near side so also should be flagging too as no players in the way. From the side on screenshot if anything he could be closer but no excuses I am afraid.

Said the same to some pals last night.
He’s looking right at it with an unobstructed view so he can’t say he didn’t see it.
Therefore, he must have decided it wasn’t handball - and this day & age with the rule as it is, that’s a penalty all day long.
Billy made me laugh saying one of their players had “pulled off a great save”. 🤣

All the highlights I've seen so far, this incident isn't shown, wouldn't suit the Wrexham media love in presumably.

I have said this many times. Football referees seem by and large totally immune to having their performances criticised. They should be open to being quizzed by the media after games to explain some of their decisions and, let's get the fuckers mic'd up during games as per rugby.

Blatant refusal to award us anything all night and was practically begging to give them a free-kick/pen at any opportunity, suprised he didn't step up to take the second pen himself. As always linos may as well be non-existent, never make a decision or correct the referee - the non-pen, even if the ref somehow missed it, the lino should've seen it no problem and flagged - instead stands there doing fuck all. The officials get worse as every season passes

If he gives a corner from that handball as oppose to the true decision of a penalty, what part of the body did the ball cannon off the defender? That would have been my question to the ref. Head? Nope. Leg? Nope. Rib cage? Nope.

The footnote of footnotes but thought it worth mentioning- thought he was excellent last night. Let the game flow, didn't overreact to anything but didn't lose control either.

Yes the linesman missed one narrow offside but other than that was really good.

Hope others can learn from it.

No complaints about the red, and actually thought he did very well to consult with assistant so it wasn't a penalty.

However has been an absolute homer for the rest of this

Books Bogle for kicking the ball away. It happens regularly now in the Premier too, without any bookings…….. but tonight !

They kicked and threw the ball away 3 times tonight which resulted in not one yellow, our player does it a split second after the whistle and a card swiftly arrives. 🤷‍♂️ also the debacle of the red card was a foul from Tella but I didn’t expect the ref to see that to be fair.

The challenge on McBurnie from Harwood-Bellis was a shocker too, two footed lunge through the back of McBurnies Achilles which I see never got an airing or mention after it happened, the media eh! 🤷‍♂️

Sorry, expected a booking for that. Stupid thing for Bogle to do. Think Norwood was lucky not to get a red too. So not a complete homer.
For the one when Maatsen had a lay down? Looked a great tackle at full speed, obviously not seen any replays.

I was praying for Ndiaye to get 1v1 against Harwood-Bellis after the yellow but it never happened.

Yep. No one mentions the harwood bellis disgrace going right thru the back of oli, but hey norwood's boot hits maatsen as he swung to clear the ball and it's uproar. Bizarre

Nope, we didn’t even try to attack which was the disappointing thing for me, try and get at him like you say but it never once materialised, he then took him off midway through the second half to protect him, a good bit of management.

I think Norwood could’ve stopped his foot hitting Maatsens knee but only he really knows, it was however no where near as bad as the challenge from Harwood-Bellis who went for McBurnie on purpose. Kompany will have told him to do this early on in the game as he’s less likely to get sent off, they aren’t daft, it was a really poor challenge and McBurnie did nothing after it.

In the PL,after VAR reviews Norwood s tackle,he walks, clumsiness is an offence there,so what the ref did or didn't do last night will be nothing compared to what we will face in the PL.

There is something wrong when the Referee is pulled from VAR duties for making serious errors, but is deemed to be good enough to referee a Championship game. It doesn’t inspire confidence.

Agreed, I expect bookings for kicking the ball away. What I don’t expect is referees selecting which player they are going to apply the exact same ruling to.

What the players were pointing out was yeah Bogle kicked the ball but if you check it went straight into the keepers hands. It was hardly blasted into row ZZ.

The modus operandi is if they fuck up badly in the Premier League inflict them on the Championship.

Rinse and repeat for refs in the Championship. They fuck up then they get sent to a League 1 match instead.

I don't see how any of it is punishment, its just another chance for them to ruin a football match.
