My Leicester mate rates him as well, can't understand why they sold him when they knew vardy was finishing.

It feels obvious who is moving into position now.

One of Grbic or Davies moves on, sold or loan.

Curtis will go out on loan and we’ll bring an alternative in to Seriki who ideally also can compete for CB.

Soumare comes in and means we have 7 players for 3 slots; Peck, Arblaster, Hamer, O’Hare, Caceres, Davies and Soumaré. Hampson heads out on loan, as does Marsh.

Oné and Barry to the left, Campbell, Cannon in the middle and Brooks on the right with serious consideration now if Ukaki has won a spot and saved us a transfer. Moore gets sold and Knibbs comes in for a similar fee but far lower wages.

Gives us a squad of 25 players, 26 if you include Sasnauskas. Depends then if you offload RND and bring in a centre back to displace Robbo, so a lot could be dictated by who this right sided defender is and if we move on Anel and replace him.

I think that’s pretty much spot on, tho I have a feeling he might keep Marsh in and around 1st team squad .

Need an alternative to Campbell up front. I don't see Cannon as a CF.

This is the problem with the notion that Robinson is "fine as a backup"... Injuries happen, and if he has to come in and play and more than 4 or 5 games, we're in trouble.

To have him and Anel as starters 2 years on from conceding the highest amount of goals ever is totally negligent.

Transfer window isn't done yet. More to come in and I feel one will be a CB.
 
A preseason friendly really. Started quite lively but ended the first half struggling. Second half was a bit of a scrappy nonentity.

Barry was an early highlight. Lots of directness. Brooks did the same second half. A few nice touches and passes, but otherwise not much to show from the rest. A lot of sloppiness as well. Cooper's kicking was fully exposed. Nothing to suggest we'll be pushing for promotion but it is only a friendly though. I'm struggling to see Hamer's place in this formation. We look dangerous going forward but so soft in the middle and in defence. Too many players who are clearly not good enough.

Strange take
 
Good workout but still too many questions outstanding with only 2 weeks away from the start of the season. Hopefully we will be able to arrange a friendly next week.

Hamers starting position is of concern. There was a huge difference in us being able to move the ball at pace when COH came on culminating in a well worked goal for Cannon. At CB we need another in before the season starts. JLT just wont cut it, neither will RND who is just too big an injury risk to consider on a regular basis.

In midfield hopefully we will sign the DM but lower league teams have too often passed through us in the games so far. Brookes and Barry on the wings is an exciting combination but the overall squad is lacking in depth in the event injuries surface.

We won. Barry looked the part but the cohesion you would want to see before the season starts was only fleetingly on evidence. Cooper getting a game was a plus. He was rusty as was his distribution all game. Its all about who we can get through the door before the season starts now.

A number of the youngsters now need to go out on loan. Impressed with Dovys positioning he reads the game well. Marsh showed some promise but he needs regular football now. One has come through but its early days and if Moore goes we need another body up front.

Lots of questions need answering and the first should be have we offered Anel a contract extension? does he want to stay or go.
