Are we too far down the line now with mcall to even have a chat with phelan, or would he be looking for bigger and better things than UTD. ( sufc) that is.

I don't think that WalthamstowBlade is the right man for the job. Mind you, his economics skills could be handy for trimming the wage bill.
Well if you were to believe some rumours from this morning, it looks like Mccall could be ruling himself out. Funny you should mention Phelan though as i thought to myself he could be a good option as well.
I don't want to be the team that experiments on a manager.
Yeah but he's never managed a team beforeMost football manager appointments are experiments, a track record in one club often means bugger all when put into a new situation.

Of course we shouldn't consider a man who was Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man during three Premier League title wins, a Club World Cup, two League Cups and two runs to the final of the UEFA Champions League.
Now that would be stupid.
Get Wilson back FFS.
and?Steve Clarke of West Brom had also never managed a team before this season.
and?
He's doing a good job of it.
And that doesn't make every other manager good

I want gary Neville
Quite correct.
However just because someone has never managed before, does not mean they will be a bad manager. So to use Phelan's lack of managerial experience against him is a bit daft.
I for one would rather have someone who was experience of coaching at the very top level trying their hand at managing for the first time with us, rather than someone who's only experiencing of coaching thus far has been a set of league one players.
doesn't make him Alex Ferguson
That's it, offer the job to that man on Cleethorpes beach he will get the donkeys running.
