Are we too far down the line now with mcall to even have a chat with phelan, or would he be looking for bigger and better things than UTD. ( sufc) that is.

Well if you were to believe some rumours from this morning, it looks like Mccall could be ruling himself out. Funny you should mention Phelan though as i thought to myself he could be a good option as well.

Thought these thoughts when Fergus announced his retirement. Phelan has bags of experience and knowledge, only question is can he step this up to the main job? He'll get the chance somewhere

Your mean the rumours on Blades Mad from those claiming to be ITK but really aren't ?

I don't want to be the team that experiments on a manager.

Of course we shouldn't consider a man who was Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man during three Premier League title wins, a Club World Cup, two League Cups and two runs to the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Now that would be stupid.

Get Wilson back FFS.

doesn't make him Alex Ferguson

And that doesn't make every other manager good

Quite correct.

However just because someone has never managed before, does not mean they will be a bad manager. So to use Phelan's lack of managerial experience against him is a bit daft.

I for one would rather have someone who was experience of coaching at the very top level trying their hand at managing for the first time with us, rather than someone who's only experiencing of coaching thus far has been a set of league one players.

Not that it matters anyway. Most assistant manager jobs in the premier league would pay more than we would for the manager of SUFC

Nop to him.

I bet the club turns to Micheal Appleton.

That's it, offer the job to that man on Cleethorpes beach he will get the donkeys running.

I believe every interveiw Mcabe has played the job down it's now clear Morgan will start the season so we better get used to it.
