Not much width but with those 4 in the middle we could carve through the center. It takes class to break a team down through the middle,Inter looked brilliant doing it and while im not comparing us to them we have the players in that team to do it to most sides in this division.

I don’t like the idea of changing our formation to try and shoehorn in players.

If it’s going to be a midfield of Norwood, Coutts and Fleck then I think it will still be 3-5-2. But I think our lack of pace up front will see little improvement on when we played it against Swansea and Boro.

Personally I’d stick with 3-5-2 with Duffy or Woodburn behind the front two. Wilder just need to make a decision when Coutts is back by picking two from Fleck, Coutts and Norwood.

This really will be a great bit of business.

Better on the ball than Evans. Better defensively than Evans. Better than Lundstram in both aspects too.

Even takes good free kicks, corners and penalties. Scored 3 pens and at least 1 free kick for Fulham last season.

Your post sums up why I’m still sceptical about him actually signing in spite of how strongly he is being linked.

He would be our best midfielder and walk into the midfield of at least half the Championship, so I can’t believe that someone with a bigger budget offering more money isn’t in for him.

Been with a couple of my Leeds mates this weekend, they said they were linked strongly with Norwood and were jealous of the idea of him coming to us. Would be a real coup at this level I reckon.

Also had to watch Leeds batter Derby with them which was as fun as you can imagine.

Forgot to add that with his contract expiring next summer, he should cost less than £2m in January, which makes it even better.

He wouldn't be our best midfielder. He's not as good as Fleck, and maybe Coutts depending on how he comes back.

I have no problem believing it. We're a good fit for each other and he'd be coming straight into the team. Admittedly Leeds would be a suitable move for him too but I don't think the richest clubs in this league would want him.

He would just edge Fleck out as our best midfielder, one thing’s for sure with those two together we would have one of, if not the best central midfield partnerships in the Championship.

Sounds as though he's on his way bit what the excitement of a new signing may be distracting for some is that he's very much a central midfielder which would mean it more likely Utd will play with 3 CMs and no #10 which doesn't bode well for Duffy (or Woodburn).
