So, to recap :

Heckythump has got the job.
We’re having a fire sale of players
We’ll raise millions even though most of them are shite.
We’re buying players for other United World clubs.
We aren’t investing in the squad.
The old Plc shares are worthless now.
McCabe is blocking off entrance to the Kop.
BIFA are selling Christmas cards to buy the forrins out.
We’ve no money because the parachute money is paying the mortgage
Biggs will no doubt be on the ball as usual

That everything?

It's all just speculation. We don't know who is on the short list and journalists have to write something. The problem is that the process is taking a long time due to the timing of Wilders exit. Hopefully the lack of information from the club is a sign that they are keeping their cards close to their chest until they are ready to announce the new manager. Hopefully when they do it's someone we can instantly get behind.
Whoever it is has a lot of work to do. Heckingbottom is caretaker manager until that time and hopefully it is someone else with more experience and potential.
Until the announcement is made we are in the dark.

at the start of the season we had 4 midfielders and 6 strikers total unbalance and that has cost us big time this season

I suspect a large portion of the parachute payments will be going towards paying the next instalment of the mortgage taken out to buy the assets off McCabe.

Crucially that doesn’t include the corner of John St and Shoerham St which eventually will close off half the Kop when McCabe starts work on those students flats.

A colossal fuck up and more legal wrangling on the cards.. and on this occasion McCabe will have the better hand.. planning permission.

I think that’s a bit of a reach, but we’ll see on the managerial appointment and also the outgoings in the next few months. If it’s Hecky I’ll be worried, but a summer fire sale too? I think we are in major difficulties if that’s the case.

Why, you don’t know anything yet, so what’s changed? What makes you believe the local press have an inside track on this? What evidence do you have that they have any more information than we do?

Just to support my alternate position to yours, I have Biggs and Shield both putting out their whines and grumbles about the board not engaging with them. One of them attempted a hatchet piece based on a letter to him from a nobody with no current relevance to our club aside from being a trusted employee of the former owner, in order to attack our current one. The other openly moaned about the local journos who were sucking up to the board and putting out favourable stories to gain favour.
Incidentally both of these examples are the guys who now apparently have the ear of someone on the inside.
Or could they simply be continuing to whip up discontent against a board and owner who has been effectively snubbing them?
I agree, think frustration got the better of me seeing Heckingbottom linked after the disaster I’m seeing week in week out which is more Wilders fault than his

Snippet from Yorks Live re Hecky and others:

"His candidacy was boosted by Stephen Bettis' praise for him last week and comes amid a backdrop of a lack of viable alternatives.

Every name would appear to come with a caveat against it, apart from Heckingbottom's. In the cases of Michael Appleton and Steve Cooper at promotion-chasing Lincoln City and Swansea City particularly, much will hinge on the performances of both clubs in the play-offs."

If we don't get out at the first time of asking, that's it for the next 10 - 15 year cycle imo. ☹️

But that’s nothing new, every name does have a question mark against it. There isn’t an option which doesn’t have a concern attached. That’s just where all championship clubs are. I’ve no idea why you think that means that’s it for 15 years unless that’s always been your opinion since Wilder walked. There is no stand out option.

I am just fucking underwhelmed with it all now we've gone from a exciting bunch of candidates to fuck ups and cheap option's
Again fucking glass half empty welcome to 60 years of being a blade 😑
But the stupid thing is I will be there next season paying out my hard earned cash

I'm pointing out the possible/probable names on the short list Bob. My opinion which no one cares about is I find them uninspiring. Others may not.

As for the 10 - 15 year cycle, I'm basing that on history. Our club isn't seen as a yo-yo club. We get relegated, then look forward to life in the lower leagues for years to come. It's possibly linked to finances as well of course and that's why I say we probably have one crack at it. Fail and it's off into oblivion for years to come. The only exception in the last 15 years has been Wilder, but how often do Wilder types come around?

It’s a shame if that’s the case. We should have arguably the best budget in the league (100% in the top three) and consequently should be one of the best jobs for any manager who would be operating a Championship level. We have comparative power of parachute payments in a league where clubs are in financial disarray. You’ve seen that with the performance of Norwich, Watford and even Bournemouth to a lesser degree. We’re a championship heavyweight.

We should be attracting the best managerial prospects who wouldn’t get a Premier League job. That’s an enormous and varied pool. I’m hoping we get a top candidate worthy of the position and that the other candidates on the shortlist fit that criteria.

Fair enough but we’ve really no idea who is or isn’t on the list, aside from one of course.

Can you name those in this varied pool, as I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t have question marks over them for one element or another?

You want me to name every potential manager we could get? Why?
I’m just interested in who in the varied pool you’d like us to be considering as aside from Howe I can’t think of anyone who I doesn’t come with significant question marks next to them and I don’t think Howe is interested.

I hope you’re right
The shortlist must consist of manager's in post as all checks have surely been completed.

It must be a better way than shoehorning a manager in quickly.
Deals can be done with agents allowing the said coach or manager to complete a CV boosting finish to a campaign.
Guesswork int it !
I think the prince and co deserve credit for doing whatever under the radar as it's difficult these days to do that.

Players are essentially single-cell organisms which respond only to basic instincts , like greed & fear. Lunnycunt's continued selection whilst thumbing his nose at the Club has acted as a sign to the squad that they hold all the power. The only instinct we can deploy is fear coz their agents have the greed sewn up in their contract. Fear of being dropped , ridiculed , booted out , career ended. How much fear does Moose feel as he drives along in his orange monstrosity munching his chips thinking of his next phantom injury ? Power needs rebalancing. I would bring in Vinnie Jones & Billy Tightshirt Whitehurst to assist John Terry. Any player exhibiting a lack of commitment to the cause will be taken outside + fucked up by Vinnie & Billy. If said player doesn't change his tune , JT will fuck his wife/girlfriend/mother + then sell him to a remote Scottish club. The players take the piss far too much these days.

It’s bollocks though. I agree that if Swansea got promoted it’s unlikely Cooper would leave them to join us but is he really suggesting that if Lincoln got promoted into the championship we couldn’t attract Appleton?

should have been a short list of jokanovic or howe imo not inspired by any of the other names being banded about

So they are now talking to the local press after freezing them out?
Your reasoning is flawed on many levels, it’s entirely lacking in credible information because you know nothing and you resort to just make stuff up when challenged. You lack the basic ability to reason and distinguish facts from supposition.
It’s also worth highlighting at this point what a copper bottomed bellend you are as a person based on your continued attack on a club employee who’s been doing a great job with the academy. A man who’s trying to secure the future of our club through our young players and has been doing his best with the shit show he’s inherited from the previous manager. He’s done nothing to deserve your pathetic comments and bile, aside to agreeing to step in to try and help us limp into the close season.

Heres a prediction. When they don’t appoint him, you’ll claim it’s because of the back lash. Bearing in mind the backlash less than 50 people shouting at clouds on Twitter, when in actual fact he was never being seriously considered in the first place.
Before responding further to your comments regarding reasoning, supposition, facts, etc, let’s just see what develops or doesn’t develop with your star club employee over the next few weeks and we can revisit this then?

As for the bellend comments, what can I say, apart from THANKS you total prick.
