Like yourself, not in possession of the facts, but my (limited) understanding is that it's the club who can enable this extension to happen. All depends on Wilder and whether he thinks Coutts is worth another year. For what it's worth, I'd back another year, simply because if Coutts can find his missing mojo we'll have a top midfield player for at least two more seasons, plus the fact that he's a joy to watch.
