Jack Lester?

I know Biggs is a melt, but do we expect him to be neutral when a group of people he knows personally and likes have been sacked?

As others have said he should be impartial but he has been on a proper moan on social media since Selles was appointed. He can't fathom for a moment at all why the owners would want a change in manager. Nor can he grasp the backroom staff going which is fairly standard when there is a change of manager.

It's a fair point, but I barely consider him to be a professional journalist if I'm honest.

Fair point. 😄

My son was at High Storrs with Jack Lester and remembers him as a Blade. The head of PE at the time was Hedley Matthew, father of world squash champion Nick Matthew. Probably was a Wednesdayite.

I was surprised he survived the Hecky Chop - always seemed he was Hecky's man. Not at all surprised he's making way for Selles backroom/coaching staff. GLTTL.

Jack Lester is 100% a Blade now. I met him when he signed for us under Warnock and I chatted with him about what it's like to play for the club he supports.

Imagine being a ‘striking coach’ and having Cannon, Brewster and Moore to coach.

I would see Cannon as a potential opportunity, due to his age and ceiling. I would then hope the new manager would use Brewster as an attacking mid, where he was pretty good last season. As for Moore, I have no suggestions sadly.

Remember Hedley well, Mike Brady was head of PE before him and a very god basketball coach

I’d just just give them all a cows arse and a banjo and hope for the best.

Hopefully Brewster is someone else’s problem next year and he can inflict his 4/5/6 out of 10 performances on a different set of fans for a few years.

Let's clear this up as I've known him a long time. He didn't support any particular team. His dad's from Bristol, his mum's from near Hull. Neither had any interest in football. His mum had a slight leaning towards the dark side early 90s. He's a Blade now for sure but that's not always been the case. It's irrelevant anyway. Good lad is Jack, he has my thanks and best wishes for whatever the future holds.

I'm not saying he always has been, but when I met him he told me himself that he was (at that moment in time). No need to get upset about it. 😂

I was at High Storrs 1980 to 1986, never knew Mr Matthews was called Hedley!

I went to school with him and, from memory, he didn't really support any team. His best mate at the time (and possibly still is) is Cooperblade on this forum, but Jack was never a United fan. I seem to recall he had a soft spot for Forest but I might be wrong.
Yeah I remember him seeing a. Girl I knew and she said he was a forest fan

Someone got there eventually (interest in Southampton mainly because of Shearer and Tissier) Good bloke and coach.
