A great shame. With him installed as team manger, the right kind of financial backing (and it wouldn't be squillions) and the crowd singing their hearts out again we could be back challenging for the PL in two years. Some credit McCabe for bringing the fans back. He didn't, Warnock did. All KMs managerial decisions that followed have been bad ones which tells us he got lucky with Warnock, we'd have graced the lower leagues for even longer if not for NW I bet.

Mccabe didn't invest or didn't feel confident in Warnock having a budget to keep us in PL that's why we went down. McCabe sacking him deflected the criticism on him and looked like he was taking action. Since his departure we have sunk like a stone weighed down by McCabe. There have been times when I thought he was a good owner but he always proves me wrong.

What clubs of our size have dropped so low and stayed there with the same owner and without administration or a financial or transfers scandal? It's all down to poor decisions at the top.

True! The problem is are there 3 clubs worse than them in the league? Perhaps Bolton and Mk Plastics but I'm struggling after that, mate.
