Neil Warnock

Whilst McCabe is still there, and controlling all the cards dealt to the table, Warnock will never be back.

A great shame. With him installed as team manger, the right kind of financial backing (and it wouldn't be squillions) and the crowd singing their hearts out again we could be back challenging for the PL in two years. Of course, we'd have the daft-arsed interviews, every other club hating us because of him and some unbelievable nights at BDTBL with him berating linesmen, falling out with opposition dugouts and having the players run their blood to water.

Those were the fucking days.

Who didn't renew his contract?

Yes. McCabe.

Warnock is God.

Some very low standards on this thread if they think Colin is anything above being Colin.

Move on boys, move on.

Have you still got it on good authority that he will only take the job if they fly him backward and forwards in a helicopter?

Warnock is old school what we need is some new blood, my dream team would Bob Page with Morgan as his number two.

Some credit McCabe for bringing the fans back. He didn't, Warnock did. All KMs managerial decisions that followed have been bad ones which tells us he got lucky with Warnock, we'd have graced the lower leagues for even longer if not for NW I bet.

Good luck Neil.

I know it could be deemed wrong board, but as there is the obvious link with our club thought I would just post that I have it on good authority (from the top table) he is Rotherhams new manager

Not certain, but it may be just until the end of the season

Correct sir.

I love it when a plan comes together :)

I believe Neil Warnock IS to be Rotherham's new manager. Understand ex #sufc boss has agreed to take it to end of season. #rufc

I think he's on a hiding to nothing. Good luck to him though as I think he'll need it.

Well done B58, you are officially more in the know than Mike Stephenson :D

He should have came back here, as a manager. Gutted he gone to Rotherham. I wish him all the best.

Mccabe didn't invest or didn't feel confident in Warnock having a budget to keep us in PL that's why we went down. McCabe sacking him deflected the criticism on him and looked like he was taking action. Since his departure we have sunk like a stone weighed down by McCabe. There have been times when I thought he was a good owner but he always proves me wrong.

What clubs of our size have dropped so low and stayed there with the same owner and without administration or a financial or transfers scandal? It's all down to poor decisions at the top.
Don't think Warnock was sacked by McCabe. Didn't get the new contract he wanted.

Dunno, all he has to do is finish outside the bottom three and he will be deemed a success. Shame it has happened just after the closing of the JTW. He only has a contract to the end of the season, but it will be good to see him back in S Yorks

He's starting to looked strange, dyed hair, no eyebrows, his face reminds Bert of Ho Chi Minh's when Bert saw his embalmed body in Saigon...

True! The problem is are there 3 clubs worse than them in the league? Perhaps Bolton and Mk Plastics but I'm struggling after that, mate.
