His greedy agent, yes. Not Neal however, he's perfect

BTW, there have been....no bids.
Is he back training yet or still considering his future?

If the latter he’s sounding like one of those people who spend time “trying to find myself” and come back the same knobhead they left as, just substantially worse off.

(I saw this gorgeous bird on the dance floor. I glanced at her, she glanced at me. Wow! I just had to have her. I strolled over and asked her to dance - she just looked at me and turned away. The ugly cow!).

I agree though I wanted Maupay above McBurnie, I just think the natural predator will share the load with Billy and then seamlessly take over from him.
That's not to say I don't rate McBurnie though.

I must have missed the part where you must do exactly what your agent says, and there was me thinking a young adult is able to make up their own mind on whats right and wrong for them and their career.

how I've managed to progress in my career without an agent telling me what jobs I should and should not take is bewildering.

P.S There wont be any bids now. Now fuck off back to where you came from.

He's been training virtually every day (with the BFC squad). I expect he will be playing on Saturday (for BFC)

Is it that there's been no bids or that there's been no discussions or both, you didn't seem completely sure before, when your story kept changing ;)

You can have discussions, then decide not to bid.

You know, when discussions reveal that the seller won't come down from his asking price and you're not prepared to go up to it.

And as our fruity friend now seems to believe, we're no longer interested even if you did get up there, since we don't need the money and have a new campaign to prepare for, with NM expected to play a major role.

(I say "no longer", but there's still just time for s.o. to come in with "an offer we can't refuse", I suppose).

Oh I know all of that, it's just your fruity friend was on here telling us that there hadn't even been any discussions before promptly changing his mind when it became obvious that wasn't the case. He then said there had been 'no bids' before telling us that our deal with yourselves (the deal that he said hadn't even occurred) was off. For someone who was apparently ITK he didn't seem completely sure exactly what it was that he knew.

Does it not concern you and fellow Brentord fans that you seem to have a player who wants to play for another team?

Have you bought any other strikers this summer?

Seriously fella, isn't it more likely that nobody is interested at the price you're wanting?

Must be a tough decision whether to scale down your demands (without losing face), or pretend you don't want to sell now and hope and pray he'll maintain his form for the 'January' window?

If there were no bids then that's even better, means he was just a smokescreen for the guy we wanted all along.

Any chance of changing the record NB? We heard you the first, second and millionth time when your leader stated (to his knowledge) there has been no bid. To be honest, it is irrelevant whether there has or hasn't - if he was going to sign, that would obviously have to happen at some stage.

Out of interest, have you lot also set up camp on Villa's and Brighton's forums?

Usually in life, you need to go with your gut instincts. If Neal Maupay thinks he would prefer to stay at Brentford, so be it, if he thinks he would like a crack at the top flight with another club, fine.

But he should do what he feels is best for him, not what his agent's bank account wants.

Footballers are only one bad injury away from the end of their career, so I can understand someone holding out for the best deal, but it has to be the player holding out, and not the agent. The agent works for the player, not the other way round.

Anyway, still time for him to go to another club if he wants I guess.

No bids but Brentford let him go to France for a few days to consider his future when he'd had the summer off and should have been at pre season training. Why would they do that if there was nothing concrete out there? What a load of crap

They ALL want to play in the Premier League. Like all yours would rather been playing for a club in the Champions League. Not rocket science.

They were genuine questions. Of course that’s the case, but does it not bother you that you have a player who has had to miss games to sort his head out because he’s touting for a move? I think once it gets to that stage it’s hard to full back him.

Bids FC?

Bollocks FC?

McBurnie’s a much better option for us anyway. But thanks for keeping us amused over the summer with yr court jester schtick.

I hope Morepay has fucked his big move, and that he and his leech (copyright Pinch) grow old, embittered and (relatively) impecunious at Banana Bastard FC.

No.

With other players I might, with Neal - nah. But from everyone I hear from (everyone) he just gets on with it. He's adapted to life in London, learnt English in short order, he's just brilliant. I'm certain that he will just pull up his socks and see what happens in Jan.... (by which time we will be 400 points clear of 2nd place of course!)

Personally I think that when our interest became public his agent touted Maupay around looking for either a better deal or a bigger club. This stalled Wilder’s interest as he wants the player to have a desire to play for him. The rest is history. PS always admired the Brentford set up and wish all the best this season.

I am sure it hasn't gone unnoticed that former manager, Dean Smith, has not been rushing to put a bid in.
Let's face it, they have certainly been splashing the cash.

I’ve been saying for a while, it seems United and Villa have been interested for ages. The fact there’s still no deal suggests it’s not going to happen.
My theory is that a club like Brighton, Palace, Bournmouth or even Sevilla have spoke to his agent advising him to stay patient and not rush into other deals.
Then once they’ve sold certain players they will come into buy him and give him a massive pay rise. This probable offer is more attractive than us or Villa.
