Ffs we’re not signing him drop it! We’re signing McBurnie and we’ve signed both Mousset and Robinson so who cares?

I’ve hardly commented on this thread in the last few days.
If you don’t care about a thread then why read it FFS, it’s not difficult is it?
However to be fair I perfectly understand your anger, there’s been some regurgitated shit said on this thread over and over and over and over again.

You must be a bit simple.

Apparently less difficult than reading a clear statement and interpreting it properly. Never mentioned the thread. Referred specifically to hopes of signing him and offered reasons as to why we shouldn’t bemoan not signing him. Perhaps that wasn’t clear or perhaps it could conceivably be misinterpreted by someone “simple” ....to quote yourself.

👍 Carry on

Apparently Brighton have stepped up their interest?

Was on the Sky transfer ticker.

Closer to London I suppose 🤷‍♂️

Fuck me are the bees still lurking in here? The Maupay deal was dead weeks ago when him and his agent were ummming and arrrring and hoping for a better offer. Chris Wilder don't work like that they either want to come and play for Sheffield United or it's fuck off, we saw that with Waghorn last summer he is stuck at Derby while his former strike partner is at Bramall lane and now a regular for his country. A lesson to be learned there NM you failed Wilder's first test of character.
Maybe the reason these bees are showing signs of having sand in their vagina's is because we took two defenders off them who they could easily replace. Two defenders a big part of the best defence in the championship last season who will be starting in the Premier League in two weeks. Their replacements will still be in the championship unless they too have moved on to a club with ambition. I feel a tad sorry for the Bees fans it can't be easy following a feeder club we saw that when in League One.

Despite being bored of pointless regurgitation on this thread I don't get the animosity towards Bees fans. We are all fans who take an interest in our clubs & players & it is only natural to be on the side of your own club when there are opposing views. As it happens I am pleased we have gone for Oli rather than Maupay, he is different to what we have while Maupay is pretty much a younger version of Bill, who I am sure will play a big part for us this coming season. It wouldn't surprise me to see us back in for Maupay at some point in the future though, we know CW is a bloodhound when it comes to tracking players he likes.
At this moment it looks like the bigger clubs are not interested in him, & the clubs expecting to be around the bottom half are either not convinced or think he is not worth what Brentford are asking, but that can change pretty quickly in January when struggling teams are desperate for goals to stay up & entrenched positions start caving in.
I like Brentford as a club, they play good football & seem to be well run, though with a self confessed business plan of wanting to sell every young player they bring in for great profit I don't see how they will ever take the next step. Lots of their fans (well I say lots but y'know, they don't have that many), seem to think they are like Barcelona already & a shining light of an example of how to run a football club, but we Blades know it is important to stay true to who you are & where your clubs roots are, be proud of your club for sure but never entitled like those pillocks from S6.

Speedracer the animosity is born of 3 or 4 of them completely clogging this thread up repeating the same stuff over and over and over and over and over again.

Oh I get that FB mate & that is what I said right at the start of the post, it was all the aggressive "fuck off's" & "hope Bees are relegated", "he is crap anyway" stuff that I am not comfortable with, mostly stuff that wouldn't be said face to face. I do think they outstayed their welcome by the way, we as Blades with never be interested in having the minute details of how they run their club being batted at us time & again, it was mindbogglingly boring so I guess it was inevitable, I just like to stand on the moral high ground that's all.

No.

With other players I might, with Neal - nah. But from everyone I hear from (everyone) he just gets on with it. He's adapted to life in London, learnt English in short order, he's just brilliant. I'm certain that he will just pull up his socks and see what happens in Jan.... (by which time we will be 400 points clear of 2nd place of course!)

"Pull up his socks"

Fuckin knew he was better than McBurnie

So apparently the real big offers havent materialised so far for Maupay. Utd have also now seemingly moved on also, leaving Mau Money seemingly high and dry.

Lo and behold other interest magically re-emerges from Brighton and Villa. The cynic in me would suggest that Agent Orange is back up to his old games trying to force a move somewhere knowing he might have fucked up for himself and his client. Still not our problem now. We dont need him now we have the Ginger Ninja.

A player who has apparently had interest from Blades, Villa, that French lot and now Brighton....................................................... NO BIDS

I reckon he'll stay with Brentford now. They're going to be particularly keen to keep him if they're hoping to mount a challenge this season. Question will be if he maintains form. If he does, his price will get even more inflated for January as it throws the one-season-wonder title into question. A struggling PL outfit may come in for him with daft money or that might be about the right time for the wheels to be coming off the Leeds wagon so it could be them.
If he struggles then Maupay, his agent and probably Brentford themselves (though no doubt they'll deny this) will be kicking themselves they didn't sell when his stock was high. I predict a middling season, a few goals but not quite up there with last season.

I reckon we should make a deadline day move for him and put a low bid in.

They ALL want to play in the Premier League. Like all yours would rather been playing for a club in the Champions League. Not rocket science.
Okay Banana,do you know what?? I may have been not very nice to you & your fans over this whole Maupay saga - But,you play in the right colours, play excellent football & gave us a right helping hand by beating Leeds. So good luck to you for the coming season, sort your away form out & you could just be the next Bournemouth. So all the best, hope you keep Maupay & he fires you to promotion. All the best.

Well look at that, Maupay not playing or even on the bench and no bid agreed with any club

Just shows that no matter what is argued during the summer the player will do what’s best for him and the club will always end up taking the best they can get

Good luck to Brentford, hope they can get the add ons to one day get to that 20 million but highly doubt they are getting near that

It does sound like Brentford are desperate to cash in.
If there’s no bids.....then sure not playing him weakens their hand.

Just thinking that, could end up getting lower than what has been offered (but not bid...) if the players made it clear he wants out.

Not a player we need anymore so hope we aren’t still interested...if we had any spare cash it should be spent elsewhere now.

In a league where literally a single point could be the difference to not play him when you don’t need to sell him is crazy

I mean if it’s a case of they had no intentions of selling him and he just had to take that then I think he would be playing

Would love it if Brighton are not interested and we see Chris with a massive grin on Friday after getting him
