Great entertainment for the neutral.

We edged the 2nd half but they totally dominated the 1st half. Fair result in the end. Millwall just about deserved the 3 points.
No doubt Hecky will be saying how well we played and how we could have won the game if it wasn't for their keeper.
Which is partially true during parts of the 2nd half, but will he mention how poor we were 1st half?, one of our worse halves (performance wise) of the whole season.
Suspect he'll mention that we played Wednesday and they played Tuesday, so they had an extra days rest, which made their players have more energy.

The factor that stood out for me was until N'Diaye and McAtee came on we had little goal threat and really lacked any kind of quality.
With those 2 everyone seemed to be more positive and all our players then looked better on the ball, even Berge has his usual 10 minutes of really good play.

Thought our best players were McBurnie (looked energetic, fully fit and up for the battle)
Also N'Diaye (as usual) and McAtee looked top quality when they come on.....at times both are too good to be playing at Championship level.

Wish Hecky would stop making excuses.

Instead of praising Millwall, his 1st comment was (I predicted it), how we played like we had 1 days less rest than Millwall
and then forced to wake up early and travel for the early kick-off, then he says "it's not an excuse though".

He blames the defence and says how his team should be copying Millwall and pulling players down on the half way line,
probably in reference to Millwalls first goal when their player so easily skipped past Basham on the half way line.
No mention of how we couldn't string 2 or 3 passes together in the 1st half and how our midfield looked so disjointed.
Really hope he's addressing this behind closed doors.

As we get to the business end of the season we will find those in and around the playoffs are really committed. Millwall weren't all that good but they wanted it more than we did.
Our next few games are all against these sort of teams. We will struggle with so many players out of form.
Can't fathom the starting lineup, such a gap between midfield and attack. With Ndaiye and McAtee on the pitch we looked back to normal. Norwood has lost it for some reason, this exposes our slow defenders who can't seem to compete against fast attacking players.
It can be sorted, but has the management team got the ability?

not surprised we are doing our best to chuck this promotion away. you could forgive defence v middlesboro. because its exposed

but today where was the marking, why are we leaving bradshaw wide open in penalty box twice & its so frustrating as 2nd half we looked more like ourselves going forward when we stopped trying to copy millwall direct style. started playing the short balls instead of the long hopeful punts up the pitch. & rescue the game twice only to chuck it away

I think in the cold light of day, we must be thankful for the run and points we got but we all know that the performances were just good enough to maintain the run.

But at some point, over a very long season, the true level of performance comes out and it catches up with us.

We should be glad we have a 7 point gap between us and 'Boro but the real problem is that we have not progressed our overall skill sets, tactical nuance, and / or team commitment to maintain this gap.

With big games coming up and with the last 2 games to set the benchmark, alas, it doesn't look good. Yes, we will make the playoffs, but we all know what happens in playoffs to us...

Best defence in the league suddenly conceding 6 in a few days, worrying.

He called it 100% right. He just said we were poor 1st half, and he was disappointed with us conceding especially 1st and 3rd goal. That's right.

You mention MaCtee and Ndiaye but no mention of Osborn, he played his part!

He’s got away with a lot this season and said in December we will lose that rub of the green
It's not rub of the green though, it's being half arsed and hoping something will happen for us that's the problem.

This team for a long time has coasted, only getting its self into gear when it had to.

Instead of keeping performance levels up and confidence levels high it has chosen, as it always does to coast.

Good enough against Wrexham, Blackpool, Swansea, Stoke, Rotherham, Wigan, all struggling with form or three divisions below us.

Some of us said what would happen playing this way when we play against the promotion and play off challengers.

Their lack of energy and enthusiasm to take a game by the scruff of the neck and struggle against these lesser teams, has put them in this lazy, slow, mundane way of doing everything, and has left them without a clue what to do against teams that pose a real threat.

Bottom line is, Hecky, Squad and most importantly the Board will be judged on whether we’re promoted this season or not.

Until then, I’ll keep my gunpowder dry. Unfortunately no humble pie tonight.

Those who remember the Boxing Day Massacre season know only too well how one result can devastate a season. We’ve now had two back-to-back.

The Spurs game could be a further reality check.

UTB
We should concede that Spurs game without playing it

Outfought today.

Thought George Long was an arse at the end. To think I gave him a twinkle of applause as well.

Dunno. Let’s try and get there first and then worry about it afterwards eh? Or should we not bother trying in case we aren’t good enough?
Maybe that's a fair assessment of a big chunk of performances recently. We're always going to struggle against opposition who are quick and athletic, whatever the division.

True. I was more pissed off with today’s result than losing to Boro but credit to Hecky at least we went for the win at 2-2 instead of trying to shut up shop.
I reckon we are getting promoted this year and relegated next year…let’s just enjoy this season (still second after all) ‘cos the future will be here soon enough!

Time for calm heads.
Boro are thinking they are billy big bollocks 'only' being 7 points behind us for automatic.
They are also only 7 points off dropping out of the playoff positions.

We can't be complacent, and aren't being. We don't need to panic either.
Just play how we can, as well as we can, and we go up..

Well now it's 4 points, with a game in hand, still no need to panic. Boro can't keep this up just as we couldn't win every game (and if they win every single game then they'll deserve it) They'll drop points aswell. It's upto us the fans back our team to keep going.

Getting at our players won't help and is negative, and will only harm our chances.

It was a good game and I'd have been happy if it wasn't for their third goal. Frustrating.

The meltdowns on here are embarrassing. Pull yourselves together you bunch of Bakewell tarts.

I can only assume you tuned in just for the 2nd half..
