I don't get dragged down, hence me not posting the negative shite that you and a few others seem to thrive on.

I like to point out the weak minded snowflakes amongst us, and there’s sadly far too many of them these days.

LMFAO

The air must be thin up there.

Dominated the game but we take too long to get the ball in the box, get it into the box quicker their defence was there for the taking . Good performance but up front poor.

Poor. Once again dominated possession for a long period by created very little. We're really bad at taking chances around the opposition's box. We hardly ever put in first time crosses (and when we do, we often benefit) or have a go. Ipswich have had a bad start to the season and were there to be beaten with a good performance.

Not 1, it's now 2 centre forwards NEEDED in the JTW.

Still the SAME recurring theme - dominating games, not getting what's deserved.

For me, 2 of the 3 loan signings need to be up top.

btw: merry Xmas everyone

As terrible a point as you can get.

Also what's with just kicking it off the pitch with our final chances nowadays? A crap habit to have.

Ipswich were a poor side. They needed an enormous present to score. So frustrating.

And the next time we get a free kick 20 to 25 yards out I'd like a shot please, rather than, say, the opposition winning a corner 10 seconds later.

We need someone who can cross accurately and first time.

Wilder telling them to cross earlier would help. We got a good goal from a first time cross. Clarke might have done better from another good first time cross. More please.

Maybe we wouldn't overplay constantly if Wilder had bothered to sign pace once or twice during his 3 seasons with us....

3 wins in 11 now i think. we really need to take our chances and sign some quality (possibly with pace to)

For a team serious about getting promotion. Although I take it you knew what I meant.

I thought I knew what you meant, I was just checking though, as I think you're wrong:

If you won all your home games and drew all your away games you would finish on 92 points. That would be enough to be promoted automatically in all but 2 occasions in the last 25 seasons.

Obviously that's an average, you'll lose at home, win away etc, but an away draw is a good result, almost by definition.

And that's before considering that, based on our budget, anyone expecting or demanding promotion has an unrealistic idea about how football generally works.

Poor result because we simply have to win these games when we insist on losing against all the good sides .

The problems are obvious to everyone including Wilder. Only January can give us any hope of being up there at the end and we all know how that will go.

Still, things have been a lot worse and we are doing as well as we can realistically expect.

2 wins in last 8 games.

However even converting the poor draws today, and against Pigs and Rovrum, would see us sitting pretty.

Can the new additions in January make that difference.....

I would be happy with no strikers if we got a RWB who could cross.

Our strikers aren't flashy but they'd get the job done if they got any service, the amount of chances we have to cross the ball is ridiculous. If you said it was 150 per game I'd believe you.

We put 15 of those in well a game, I reckon our strikers would score 4 of them.

What's Norwich's budget? If they were to tail off dramatically from now on, would their fans be right to be peeved?

I don't think any of us is either expecting or demanding promotion, but we seem to get to a certain level, like 2nd or 3rd in the league and sllllllliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide. We'll be out of the play offs come the new year, but it's okay, it'll match the budget. We need to collectively manage our expectations. ;)

You could define the moaning fans as snowflakes, you could define the people moaning about the moaners as snowflakes. You could even say your post (moaning about the moaners moaning about other people moaning) is snowflake-esque too.

Or, we could all just stop calling eachother snowflakes and get back to the discussion.
Only way we’ll get a white Christmas mind :)

draw better than nothing, but not pleased as we should be taking 3 pts from these like reading, as Ipswich seem doomed & our defence gifts the opposition chances, we cant keep clean sheets v competive sides. the last proper clean sheet against a team that wanted or could attack was blackburn away on 3rd october. today was abit like villa & stoke dominate a game. then decide that we should hand them a goal & when we struggle to take our chances, then knowing we have to score minimum 2 to have chance of victory it just compounds our problems

but being positive IF we can beat derby on boxing day, then no harm done. as didnt expect to win both games anyway but problem is now we have got to recify it by playing 1 of best teams in league instead of the worst. also we are on course for 76pts despite arguably dropping 7pts In silly errors & failing to capitalise on our domination. which wouldve been good enough 3 of the last 5 years for play offs

Maybe you're made of stone or have a very high horse.

People get carried away during and immediately after games, just like players and managers do. It's football. A little common sense and level handedness takes over the next morning with most.
Why not wait why till Sunday then.

Good job Bassett and Warnocks lot didn't worry about shit like budgets.

A lot more than ours based on their recruitment. And they if they fall off dramatically; they can be peeved if they want - it won't change anything though.

I dare say you're not reading the forum enough, plenty of people on here are expecting us to be promoted - just look at the reaction to an away draw that leaves us 6th in the league.

As for getting to a certain level and sliding, I personally think it's got more to do with a thin, aging squad tiring over a long season than anything else.

You're being sarcastic but I don't care; I absoloutely think lots of our fans could do a better job of managing expectations.

Question for you: (Generally) What part does budget play in a team's success?

Just because there’s the odd example of bucking the trend, it doesn’t stop it being a cold hard fact - big budgets make a big difference.

Anyone who isn’t delighted with the job Wilder is doing with this budget is, quite simply, deluded / full of shit.
