Ever the optimist, I hoped Selles would get us playing sexy attacking footy - but my only basis for that was when his Hull side took us apart at the Lane last season.
My optimism has gone now and I hope he’s gone very soon.
Last night was the worst of the season. The selection, the tactics - terrible.
The quality of play - mainly awful.
The energy & attitude - pathetic.
That’s the lowest set of player ratings I’ve ever seen and deservedly so. They don’t seem to want to play for him & on paper, we’ve got a good, solid squad of youth, experience & skill.
It’s just not working.

Ha ha. Sorry about that, but my mood hasn’t lightened at all this morning. A start to a season like this can be devastating, and I’ve been around too long to believe in the ‘It will come good’ school of thought. Another couple of matches like this and the R word starts to loom over the horizon.

I thought that giving Selles ten games to see how he would do would be a good benchmark for the season, but he has blown that goodwill after five. He has to go.

Surprisingly upbeat for United supporters. The players stood in front of the away fans stonefaced. I think they were shell shocked by the result, but the away fans ( from what I saw) couldn’t be faulted.

I am hooked. Fans were amazing, for the most part didn't stop singing even when it had clearly all gone to shit.

My daughters have been looking at me funny today as i still keep singing " win, lose or drawer, we'll still be back for more"
