I was surprised we managed to have the majority of possession first half. Ipswich clearly struggled to get going and seemed to continue suffering from their relegation hangover. Their defenders and holding midfielders are not brilliant on the ball, and for once we looked able to halt a side that tried building from the back. They still looked the most threatening and got some breaks where our defenders (Tanganga) had to get blocks in. Of course they scored while we created nothing.

At half time I felt there was a chance for us if we raised our game, and they continued the same. But of course the opposite happened. They adjusted and improved, we got worse. They got the second and while there are stats that says you have to make substitutions before 58 minutes are passed if you want to turn a game around, they even got a third before we put some subs on.

From then on it was just a mess. Too late to rescue the game. Ipswich looked like world beaters at the end.

Selles has made too many mistakes, been too naive tactically, and following a lot of hard work, observations, analyses, he's ended up with the wrong conclusions, put faith in the wrong players, benched the wrong players. It's a shame a likeable, hard working guy couldn't get it right, but this can't go on.

It’s his job to galvanise the squad, to foster and build a team spirit.

I tried to give him a chance, I wanted him to work but he either hasn’t got a fucking clue what he’s doing, or he is too fucking stubborn to change.

Either way he needs to fuck off and fuck off quickly before he sets us back years.

It’s not like Ipswich were even that much better than us. They weren’t until we collapsed. The players have to shoulder some blame but put a blind man behind wheel of supercar and see how well it is driven.

I thought 10 games too, but I'm not seeing anything other than confidence draining away. We need to stop the rot.

Bear in mind we created no chances and didn't have a shot on target until the second half. Even that was a pot-shot, not created through good football or relentless pressure.

Ipswich started poorly and were sloppy.
As soon as they realised we were absolutely aimless/toothless, they started committing more players forward on breaks and that was the game done with.

I have come to the conclusion that he's the footballing equivalent of of a tech bro. It's all about the numbers and what the computer says. Absolutely no clue about the management of actual human beings.

Plainly talks a good game in an interview (four times) but gets found out as soon as he has to educate/inform/motivate/correct actual players. Clueless.

The players obviously can't wait to see the back of him, and neither can I.

He will sit comfortably on top of the cadre of knobs we have had manage us over the last 20 years. Imagine being worse than Weir or Adkins or Adams? He actually is!
