This calls for a Bayern Munich (at Arsenal)-type boycott. Can they possibly be more contemptious of football supporters? Kick-off moved to inconvenience fans even more, Wonga-style ripoff ticket prices. Anything else? Oh, I'm sure the railway engineering works will overrun meaning the last train back to Sheffield is at noon.

Not that it matters, but I'd already decided not to go to Wembley for a PO Final for all the reasons above. When the pigs see acres of empty seats at OT, they'll take the piss and claim they'd have sold out whatever the price. They can fuck right off. 19k for a home game v. Derby last Sunday?

Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions:

(i) Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:
In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00
In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00
In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00 In the First and Second Round Proper: £10.00
In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00

(ii) A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs.
 
Those ticket prices are disgraceful for a televised game. In two minds about whether to go now. The clubs should be ashamed of themselves. Man United fans don’t feel they are getting their moneysworth lately and we’re having it a hell of a lot worse with what’s being served up to the point that most of us can barely even look forward to games at the moment. Then we get a draw, a distraction from our atrocious “performance” this season and something to look forward to and they kick us in the teeth like this.


I’m so fucking close to fucking the lot off and taking up non-league football. The modern game is a disgrace and completely tramples on the lifeblood of the clubs. If it was just me, I’d definitely fuck it off just on principle but my lad is giddy with excitement at the prospect of going to Old Trafford and I don’t want to let him down. Torn on this one.

Knowing us, Man Utd will have said these are the prices and we've just said ok and accept it due to the "size and might" of Man Utd. Fucking spineless this club.

Yeah you can't just come up with the prices if you are the home team in an FA Cup tie. It has to be decided by the two clubs. Also, Man Utd fans are forced to buy FA Cup tickets with their season tickets. It's part of the deal

hmm, on further review looking at this year's rulebook (Presty's looking at an old copy):

(ii) Competition Proper Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

So basically Manchester can do whatever the fuck they like, they just need SUFC's permission if they want to penetrate us further than their own fans

Time for a boycott ..................... even for Man U fans used to paying those prices it is a disgrace for MUFC to charge that much for a game against a club from the third tier even if it is Sheffield United. As a senior if we do ever reach the premiership then I think it will be the end of me going to the lane. Sheffield FC are becoming more and more appealing especially if they get their move to the Olive Grove ground.
MUFC can phuck right off grrrrrrrrrrr
