A team low on confidence, hit them hard and fast from the start.

Score an early goal and the floodgates could open

Would want a couple of changes for rotation and I expect Cannon will be unavailable and even if Hamer’s available I wouldn’t risk him.

Cooper
Gilchrist Holding Anel Burrows
Choudhury Peck
JRS O’Hare BBD
Campbell

Would like to score 3 or 4 goals again

Far too many changes, exact same team that started against Boro except for any injuries. (and Campbell for Cannon)

Clarke and even Robbo stays in, momentum is a big thing

Keep the run going and got a 9 day rest after this one.

Big statement win this one especially if Preston get anything against Burnley then Leeds go into Mondays game under some pressure.

We could go into next weekend top of the league by 1 point and 5 ahead of Burnley and Sunderland.

Emphasis on "could" 😂

When teams hit rock bottom of the league usually a reaction happens and the effort and intensity levels go up. So this may not be the game most expect, think they will frustrate us and try to get something to cling onto. Id really like to see us give them a pasting but would happily settle for a scrappy 1-0 win. Dont expect cannon or hamer to play which would be a worry

As long as we play with the same intensity and tempo as against Boro we will win.

Take nothing for granted, especially after the beating against Hull.

They'll be acutely aware of how different our fortunes have been after relegation and they'll want to try and even the playing field, even if its for one game only.

Perfectly happy with a 1-0 and get out there unscathed but if we play like we did against Boro then it should be fairly comfortable.

We played them midweek and they are a terrible team. Got no fight - nothing. Nowhere near the team they were a season or two back.

You'll score at least 3 or 4.

I wouldn't be resting hamer if fit..we,ve not got a game for ten days after this.

Poor ground, poor playing surface and small pitch plus the giants up front does not add up to an easy win in my book. I would take a draw.

Went to this one last season. Miserable rainy day, expected to get another beating after being hit for 5 by Villa (I think? they all blend together now) the week before. Ended up being the best performance of the season. Couldn't talk for days afterwards, having not shut up all game.

Can't make it this time around, but hopefully it's just as memorable for those that do. On paper these shouldn't be a threat, but a week ago I'd have said the same about Portsmouth. It's up to us to make sure that we get the result we want - Luton aren't going to just let us have it.

Get after them from the start. Fierce pressing on their back line in particular - see if we can force a mistake from their defence. Hopefully we can snag an early goal or 2 and control the game from there.

2-1 will do so long as the 3 points take us into the 70 s, points level
we can be 24 points or 8 wins ahead of 7th place by Saturday night with only 14 games left

some said we could have gone straight to league one pre season. but straight to the prem now looks more likely
