Extremely predictable outcome

Shame we chose to play the last 20 with effectively no attack, but we got away with it, as we do. Fairly comfortable this time

Now must follow it up and beat Bristol
On the bright side you can continue with those hilarious wilder parodys that have the forum in stitches

MUCH better than expected.
Played normally.
Must be a grudge match.
Sitter missed by Campbell and through ball.
OHare neat and tidy - but as potent as the harem eunoch,
BBD useless on right - get OHare off him up top.
Harmer on right Rack Saki or Brookes left.
Two choices to get parasite stroller Choudhury off.
Either Holding to right CB and Anel RB or swap Seriki if can last 45/50 (plus TomDavis is RWB in a 5.)
Freekicks left side by Burrows - WTF - imbecilic.
Corners still shite as all season in presumably planned shambles. As likely to score as OHare FFS.
Jesus Christ.
All I've got to say to that is **** off Wilder.
All that attacking talent and we have Cannon and Ohare as a 'front two'.
ie playing with 9 in effect.
Won despite that imbecile not because of him.
Choudhury much better second half in Vini position.
Ohare absolute shite ie back to normal.
Cannon shite.
Rak Saki out of position wide right as expected.
ONE standard left wing cross all game brought the goal.
IT IS NOT COINCIDENCE.
Their goaly as shite as Leeds but NOT exploited/targeted.
No threat down either wing all game.
Hamer blowing out of his arse five minutes before he sat down.
Why do these clowns NEVER see anything happening on the pitch?
"better to be born lucky than talented"
Or as they said when I was a kid
"If he fell down the sewers he would come out with a new brown suit"
ps Davies is goaly back
Was surprized re injury then real;ised.
Always have to have sound off re scores when RS muppetts with pictures.
Some club stations do NOT constantly talk about every club in countrys scores. Someone should tell them but they never listen.

After a bright start where we failed to take chances, the game became scrappy. Better team first half. Not much in it in the second. We need to start (please) putting teams away. We just let them have a go at us. Anyway, another important 3 points.

Cooper - 7 - Didn't have much to do but did a lot of it well. Some good distribution today.
Burrows - 7 - He struggled a little first half but he keeps getting forward. Great ball for the goal and stuck to his task.
Robbo - 6 - Once again is far too interested in grabbing, arguing and once again throwing people to the ground. He was generally ok, but when issues come it usually seems to be through him.
Anel - 6.5 - Let one header bizarrely but looked fairly comfortable for most of the game.
Choudhury - 6.5 - Looked to do more going forward at right back but they targeted him. Better when he moved into the middle.
Souza - 6 - Not a great game but hope the injury isn't too bad. Worrying that he seems to be suffering from the same thing as before.
Peck -7 - Once again looked a bit too casual/sloppy first half but improved as the game went on.
Hamer - 6.5 - Involved with most things first half but faded quite a bit. Seems to be carrying the same injury as well.
O'Hare - 6.5 - Again, involved in most things first half but made a few wrong choices.
BBD - 5.5 - After a decent start he seemed to fade out of the game.
Campbell -6 - Badly missed an open goal first half but great run for the goal. Another who started strongly but seemed to fade towards the end of the first half.

Subs:

Seriki - 6.5 - Every time he comes on, he has a great run and drive to the byline and then doesn't do it again! Did ok. Looked better than Choudhury but defensively a bit mixed.
JRS - 5.5 - He really needs to be doing more, both on and off the ball.
Canon - 4 - I really have no idea why Moore isn't coming on. After Canon came on the ball just kept coming back, when we needed someone to hold it up.
McCallum - 4.5 - When we needed to get out foot on the ball he just kept giving it away.

Wilder - 6 - We started well but then faded. Got there in the end but it was far more of a struggle than it should have been.

Not even a subtle trolling attempt, must try harder.

Didn't we erm, didn't we win and stay second?

3 points played well until wilders subs roll on Tuesday
Can’t understand why the subs are not more impactful.

You can blame Wilder, but BBD wasn’t playing amazing and Rak-Sakyi is an excellent replacement.

Likewise Cannon was banging them in for Stoke and you can understand us not risking Campbell too much. I’d like to see Moore as a consideration to be honest for something a bit less predictable.

I felt McCallum was a bit sloppy when he came on too. He completely bought a dummied cross, turned his back and was completely behind play them in one of the moves. It was schoolboy stuff really.

I think in that first half, the front 4 seemed to be really gelling well together, considering Hamer has not really been firing since his injury. That is very promising for the run-in. It is an issue neither Campbell or Diaz are 90 minute players at the moment, I feel when we have one of them on the pitch we are always a threat just through their movement and forcefulness. I think Burrows had his best all round game for a while. Is that the first header we actually scored from one of his crosses this season ? I don't seem to remember another.

A game which we allowed to become scrappy, but managed to come out of it with a win.

I wrote a bit of an essay in the QPR thread, where I mentioned how the side is capable of far more than we're generally seeing. That first 25-30 mins today was a perfect demonstration of that.

We were superb early on. I'm not sure quite how Campbell didn't score that first chance, but we fortunately were not punished for it. We looked capable of cutting them open with every move into their half. But as the 1st half wore on, PNE took the opportunities they had to enact the "Dark Arts" of football, slow us down, and draw us into a very dull game.

Very little offensive danger posed by either side, the game played at a snail's pace, and a level of goal threat it is hard to describe as anything other than zero.

Credit has to be given to Preston - their gameplan to get a result worked almost perfectly. Stifle our creative players, knock them out of their rhythm, and look to maybe sneak a goal. And in the first half, they gradually became more effective at it.

I was optimistic about Seriki's introduction at half time, although him having to replace Vini is a huge problem. We again tried to be positive early on, but Preston were able to get a grip on proceedings much quicker this time round.

Had their lad's shot had a touch more "whip" on it, we'd have been 1-0 down. And that would have been a big problem. Fans would have been on the players' back, which would have likely been made worse by the knowledge of Burnley leading. Fortunately though it bounced out, and then we managed to out one moment of pure quality together.

That cross by Burrows was a bloody work of art. You couldn't wish for it to be delivered better. And Campbell rewards the delivery by making the correct run across the near post to score.

We laboured after that, not helped by Hamer having to go off. But there were occasions of us trying "too hard" to make something happen - those flurries of one-touch passes in a tight space, often breaking down due to a loose pass, were a clear sign of the players trying to break the defence down.

Certainly a better performance than at QPR, and one that we can use to kick on to even better displays in coming games. But now we're at the business end of the season, it's a "beggars can't be choosers" scenario. Every game is a must-win - if we do win, there can't really be any room for complaint about the performance.

Comfortable win really, thought we played some good stuff. Well done Chris and the lads. 👏

You need to buy a fidget spinner. Many 10 year olds have them.
The question was why is it silent in our stadium
I gave one of the reasons, a very legitimate reason and in truth THE ONLY REASON, and you insinuate that I am a child.
A child is how you and the others behave every time you hear a word of truth about United that you don't like.
Stop taking it so much to heart like the rest of the childish morons on here.

Now pray tell, what is your reason for the near silence ?
Our fans are crap I suppose, this can be the only reason because it's obviously not the team and manager.

The atmosphere at english grounds all over has gotten worse over the past decade in my experience. Compare english football with the atmosphere in netherlands, germany, turkey, even france. I have been to many games around europe over the past 15 years and it has always been much better for fan atmosphere than over here. I have no answer why that is...or are you saying atmosphere at most english games is crap cos the football is crap? Even if we played like prime Real many fans would just sit there gawping at their phones or busting for a snort/vape/pissy beer rather than getting engrossed in the game. Its a people thing and not about the standard of football in my opinion.

The reason for the quiet stadium is we don’t play an exciting style of football and we barely ever shoot ….

If you dot shoot you don’t score it’s simple really

It’s easy to see why strikers in our team would stop running channels … bloody pointless
