Good 3 points to get back on track
Did enough but questions over Moore & Cannon and where has Brookes been?

Some interesting takes tonight
Thought kieffer and Cal were very good
And Tom will be big for us , believe me

Stoke were really poor and quite thuggish.

A 2nd string team playing in 2nd gear and still they barely caused us any trouble.

Feel we could have put a cricket score against them if we really wanted to.

Second half was dire until the second goal. Thats how we should play football lovely chip from OHare Peck first time cross into the box and Brooks finally playing on his natural left side scores with his left foot.

We beat a set of umper lumpers for once. The had some nasty players and got away with some leg breakers on Brewster twice. How Gooch played the whole match without a card is a mystery.

We won and it will help confidence. Still not convinced 4-4-2 will win us the play offs. Far too many gaps in midfield and we were exposed to fast breaks. If we're going with a 2 up top we need 3 in midfield or 3 at the back imo. Ohare mom for me showed what we've been missing the last few weeks. Holding got through 90 minutes but without Anel in the side better teams will expose our weakness against fast breaking forwards. Its 3 points, some players had a rest so all in all a good evening but plenty still to work on.

Decent win against a dreadful team in a game which was more open than normal. Fortunate first goal. Good second. Otherwise, not the greatest amount in it. Far too much space around both defences.

I really don't understand 'resting' players and then bringing them on when you could have easily had Boyes instead of Burrows and Baptiste instead of Anel. And then not giving Gilchrist any minutes. Who knows with Wilder though. We finally allowed Brooks to play and he scores with his first touch.

Moore looked good in a two and Holding looked effortlessly assured at the back. O'Hare caused them problems all night.

GK - 6.5 - Made a good save from a one on one and was solid throughout. Opted not to try kicking it long down the channels today, thankfully.
McCallum - 3 - Terrible. Scores the goal but otherwise woeful when trying to do anything that isn't with his head.
Robbo - 5.5 - Was okish but when they got through it was down his side. Tried to kick off for no reason.
Holding - 6.5 - Did nothing fancy but just looks solid and comfortable. It's laughable that he's been warming out bench for months.
Seriki - 5 - Thought he had a fairly poor game. Outside of the pen shout, rarely got forward, and not great defensively.
Souza - 4 - Really poor first half. Lots of gaps in our midfield and he gave the ball away a lot. Surprised he was played for 90 minutes
Choudhury - 5 - As above, really poor first half. I thought he improved and he actually looks ok at RB.
O'Hare - 6.5 - We look a lot better with him on the pitch but he needs to play in the middle. Most good things come from him but also some not so goof things.
Brewster - 5 - WTF is Wilder doing playing him on the wing when Brooks is right there? Baffling stubbornness from Mr Stubborn. He put a shift in a tackled back decently, but very little going forward.
Moore - 7 - Best game for a while. Dominated the CBs. Won most battles and linked up well. He's a really good option in a two upfront. Not a world beater but causes a lot of problems.
Campbell - 5 - Nowhere near enough for me. Missed a decent chance first half and linked up ok, but we need to see more.

Subs:

Cannon - 5 - Came on, offered less than Campbell.
Peck - 6.5 - Did well with the goal but then followed it up with a bad giveaway. Adds a different element to midfield.
Burrows - 6 - No idea why he's on the bench when being rested. Much better than the man he replaced.
Brooks - 6 - Seems to have really pissed off Wilder in the second half of the season but scores with his first touch.

Wilder - 5 - important win after recent results but I saw no improvement in the way we lay really. It worked better having two upfront but then playing Brewster on the wing and wasting O'Hare out wide is odd. Not to mention not giving a RB who needs minutes any time and then bring rested players on. I do sometimes wonder what he's trying to achieve.

So we've gone a full season at the top of the championship without scoring 3 away from home. Wonder if anyone's managed that before. Could've done it tonight. Stoke were garbage, expected a game from them

Fair assessment.

Not sure what's going on with Souza but getting more minutes under his belt is making him look worse not better.

Hopefully he's saving it all for the playoffs 🙏

Stoke are probably the worst team I have seen this season. Looks like Jonathan Walters will be getting the sack cheque book out again.

I guess it depends what's up with him. A big plus is that he got through 90 minutes but there were huge gaps in midfield when they broke.
