QPR finished 19th last season. If we had finished 19th, and some prem club offered 4 million for our best midfielder, would there have been any decent? I think not.

The 48 hours part is what confuses me. Not many deals in general get done over a weekend... I don't recall us making any signings over a weekend.

Good signing at a good price if true though.

If the 4 million release clause is right then it will be up to the player so Wilder will have given Freeman 48 hours to make a decision he wont tolerate players who aren't enthusiastic about playing for us ,that's the way to do it in my opinion.

Leeds were linked with him a couple of weeks ago and I can't see him joining them over us.

Is it just me that can’t get excited over Freeman? Is he really Premier league quality?
McBurnie is young and with ample room to improve but I just can’t see that in LF. Hopefully if we do sign him I’m proven wrong. Trust in Wilder.

I thought he was brilliant when he played for Stevenage. We should have bought him then.

I’ve not followed his career since but it seems he’s still highly rated at Championship level.

For £4m it’s a great deal. I expect it will cost more than that. But I like the idea.

Strange one if that’s the case as they might as well have just accepted the £5m that Boro offered last summer. I assume it was added in his recent contract extension but why agree to it if you could have got more for him.

I seem to recall only one time and that was Wilder's first season and we signed John Fleck, JOC and Jake Wright on a single Saturday and had a friendly against Stocksbridge that same day.

Let’s just get this one done.
For Freeman this is his chance to become a premier league player for the remainder of his career.
We all know he’s got the ability to do it, but for some reason he’s never quite made the step up. Perhaps it’s fitness, work ethic, size, pace? Who knows.
But if any manager is going to get the best out of him consistently it’s Wilder, and if any club is going to get the best out of you fitness wise it’s us. (We have been very good at keeping players fit in recent times)

To cap it off, he will finally be leaving the Sarf and getting the chance to live in gods country and with possibly a decent pay rise and lower cost of living. What’s not to like.

Be good to finally have a player to push Duffy for his spot in the team, and a more influential player than Dowell.
Though I reckon we should also get Dowell I’m permanently if we can.

Player of the season for QPR, a Wilder type of signing and if he can reach his potential with us like Wilder has so many doing he would be a massive signing and a great one at 4m.

One thing is for sure, this will be Freeman’s first and last season in the premier if he doesn’t seize the opportunity. I hope he he can be the player we know he can be but I just have a nagging Holmes / carruthers feeling to it.
