So if all else fails play the young uns fantastic plan
No, not at all. In another year’s time the youngsters will have more experience and should have greater body strength.
Whether they are good enough is another matter, but if they are then they play, regardless of whether “all else fails” or not.
That is why , along with other aspects, we should be in a stronger position this time next year, even if all the loans go back.

Loans for players , loans for the stadium , Loans to buy McCabe out

Are you being serious?

After the expenditure over the last couple of years that hasn't added anything to the squad whatsoever I'm not surprised he's gone for a "try before you buy" approach.

You're either ignoring the fact that we'll make a pretty significant loss on this season (even with the parachute money) or you're on the wind up. Read the post that Balham Blade made or some of the fag packet costings I've done when people have moaned about us not spunking money.

We have more income than others in the Championship, but we also have more costs. We've spent badly whilst in the PL and it's now biting us on the arse as a relegated club. When you wrap your head around this then it's easier to understand why the Prince isn't throwing good money after bad and taking a more prudent approach for the remainder of the season.

I posted these stats in another thread where general basic financial knowledge was severely lacking as well but here is the updated spending of the relegated 3 clubs.

Fulham - In £4.32m, Out £22.95m = -£18.63m
West Brom - In £17.17m, Out £0.00m = +£17.17m
Blades - In £25.20m, Out £0.00m = +£25.20m

Again Fulham are the only 1 of the 3 who have spent anything.

IMHO we are suffering from being the only ones to go for revolution instead of evolution when we employed our new manager and maybe our expectations should be set accordingly.

Ismael is basically a more modern version of Big Sam so the majority of the side for his way of playing were already in place and they have made some decent either free or loan additions.

Likewise Silva and Parker aren't that different and Fulham are loaded so no real surprise they've started off well.

I still think we got the best manager of the 3 but the difference from Wilder to him is maybe too much to be sorted overnight, especially with a severely disrupted pre season. If we just wanted more Wilderball and continuity then maybe Hecky should have got the role. Personally I'd rather Slav was given time to shape the club in his image as the team he produced at Fulham were an absolute joy to watch. Bare in mind though that he had half a season, then a full season ending in defeat in the PO final then got them up in his 2nd full season. Are we that patient???

Last year Fulham didn’t go mad on permanent fees and opted for loans instead. It stands to reason that they’ve now got some financial headroom to buy a few players.

We’re saddled with expensive signings on long contracts with a large annual amortisation charge unless they’re sold. Loans are the only option really.

Hes the Lone ranger heard hes put in for a loan for tonto.

Is it me or does Olsen look like hes necked some disco biscuits on that pic?

And Ben Davies looks like David Camerons love child?!

Give your head a wobble. Unless you're mega rich nobody buys anything.

Why do you think there are so many low end Audi's and BMW's on the road? Because everybody wants the badge but nobody can afford to buy them, so they get them on finance. It's how the world works. Unless you own Man City, then money is absolutely no object.

He’s nicked his information from Kieran Maguire:

Before everyone starts kicking off it’s a cash flow loan secured against parachute money. It gives us cash now (at a price) rather than having to wait.

Oooooo this is going to cause a completely unwarranted meltdown popcorn at the ready. It’s pretty much exactly what we did in the prem against the tv money

Now they haven't got Wilder's mates leaking them stories they really don't like us do they?

Embarrassing.

How are we going to offload the shite and who would want them? No one is going to buy them and if we loan them out we'll still have to subsidise some of their wages.

We're stuck with them until their contracts expire, or if we can convince them to terminate mutually next summer. Our squad is a mess.
Suspect a few will be offloaded on the cheap in Jan if they don't step up. Better to sell at a loss than to keep paying their wages and throwing good money after bad

65 millions worth have got to step up berge mcburnie and brewster those 3 permanent signings have worked out well havent they ? so personally ive no problem with loan signings

Actually all mega rich use facilities too. The money they earn investing their own cash is more than the interest they have to pay on facilities, so it makes sense to essentially let the bank buy them things
