There was only one player I’d have wanted us to take from Chezzie today and he wasn’t theirs, Andy Kellett was by far the best player on the pitch but he’s on loan from Wigan, he’s got a great left peg on him.
Thought Reed looked much better than Kellet personally ,but the gulf between that division and ours is huge. Jon Stead still doing well in it

I always liked him when I saw him play. The only negative for me was his size!. He is small and did seem to get knocked off the ball easily. I do think that under the guidance of wilder/knill and some work in the gym he could give us another option?. Kevin gage knows his stuff so don't think we'd go far wrong in keeping tabs on reed?. I M H O.

No mate. Although many on here may agree with you. They love 'em small. Same folk were telling us what a good player Scougall was. There's something rather sinnister about this imo. Grown men, supposedly knowledgeable about football, but with an unhealthy interest in small male footballers. I think it's something to do with domination, but maybe I'm reading too much into it? Either way, Scougall was crap and so is Reed. Actually, that's a bit unfair. Neither are crap, but neither will earn a living at any level higher than League 1 or the Scottish equivalent.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. They came in. They did their best. We appreciate their efforts. But they aren't good enough for where we are now or where we are going to. Good bye and good luck.

I thought Notts County were shocking and it looked like the league had been turned upside down. Stead was feeding off scraps, just punts up field, he’s better than that.

Reed looked far from crap in quite a few games in our first team. For whatever reason - probably age - he lost his way a bit. If he comes back to fight for a place it will be because the professionals at the club see him as an asset.

Louis Reed 1.73m tall
Lionel Messi 1.70 tall.

John Fleck in between the two of them Sitwell. Andy Kellett (MOM) same as Fleck.

Always liked Reed. A tidy player who does a lot of unnoticed work and good ball retention. His size has been an issue, as have a dreadful run of managers. Definitely not one to write off just yet.

Well I’ll beg to differ then.

He wasn’t good enough for League 1. Fact. That’s why he’s not here. Look no further than Wilders judgement.

He’s good (apparently) at league 2 level.

You guys scare me to death tbh! Do you realise what League we are in and where we are trying to get to? Did you see our present midfield v Fulham the other week? Every single one of those United players is streets ahead of Reed, but we were mullered in midfield. Absolutely taught a lesson in how to play football.

But you think Reed will be good enough for us eh?

Jayzus H Christ! What division?

Me 1.86m
Kevin De Bruyne 1.81

Me - wank
Kevin - decent
Your post - meaningless.

In response to this which makes your post seem even more meaningless. Get back to your meaningless knockin of Stearman.

Tom Cairney was shit for Hull at Reeds age and was released initially by Leeds for being to small. He is arguably the best player outside the premier league now. Reed has years in front of him to keep improving ,not saying he will ,but you never know with another couple of loans.

Very promising. Bring him back, give him a full pre season under Wilder, if he's shit he'll get dropped and we'll sell him or loan him in January and everything's fine. If he makes a positive impression in our first team we're all good.

We'll probably sell him for 250k in the summer though, which is fine if Wilder reckons he's not good enough. I know fuck all at the end of the day.

Are either of them allowed on any rides at Alton towers?
Suppose that would depend on how fond of their legs they are and whether they want to risk 2ft of that height!??

It’s good that he’s doing well and gives us something to think about and look at. But we do have loads of midfielders so they’ll be no rush to get him in the first 11.

Our one and only priority in Summer is strikers.

I’m not sure people are saying he should be in our first team now. The point is, he is only 20. He wouldn’t have cut it in the game at Fulham, but neither would Coutts or Fleck when they were 20. Players develop, and Reed has a lot of talent to build on. Retaining him would be a low-risk, very sensible decision.

A lot of unnoticed work ......................... where did we here that line before ? Ah yes a certain Mr Hammond

He sounds like our type of player. Young playing regular football in a lower division with potential to step up. I wonder what what people would think of him if he was a target not our player?
Yea if he had no connection with us we would be saying
“Let’s gerrim signed looks a reight prospect”

Chesterfield hopefully.

Why hopefully? Surely you (or any blade) hopes all our players will do well?

Are you serious? What are you implying?

Reed is a better option to have in the squad than Lundstram.
