Campbell?

I would argue the opposite - too many of us accept shite mediocrity too readily. Expecting a professional footballer to put effort in and keep themself in shape is surely the absolute lowest bar.
Again, have we seen any proof of his attitude or fitness?

Such an odd one, as he was excellent two seasons ago. So it’s clear an attitude/mentality issue with him.

Yes but that's the risk you take, if he's returned from last season overweight/struggling and showed nothing in the preseason games why should he have an extension? Not knocking Campbell because when he's on it he's been brilliant but for 60 minutes. Bettis at least should have said "hold on" but we know he won't.
And there you have it - Director Bettis has no actual control over his employee Wilder.

Don't forget One when he comes back for his cameo appearances.

He cost us nothing and there wasn't a queue of clubs after him when we signed him. So it's not like we're losing out on a transfer fee outlay on him by waiting and seeing how he was performing come December.
I can tell you already, no change still blowing out his arse with hands on his knees after 20 mins

He’s run out of credit with his goals against Wednesday got to go in the next window total waste of a shirt.

As far as his own desire and mentality might be part of his problem, it would have been much more prudent to allow his contract to run down and force him to earn a new one

It's a shame with him. Take away these issues and he'd be some player. Many such cases I guess
I suppose it depends if we’ve halved his wages but extended his contract to keep him as an asset, or something akin to that. I dread to think that we’ve uplifted his presumably generous terms as he arrived on a free and probably had a higher than average weekly wage. . . But you never know

What kind of entitled bollocks is 'run out of credit"

Do you still moan to your mum and dad on Christmas Day about 10am, that you are bored with your presents?

Yes, we were shit today, but bugger me, there are some very short memories on here.

The best of Campbell that we saw wasn't exactly the usual standard of his career. That hot streak is a way away. Even then we were hooking him off after 60 minutes every game.

With the way we are playing at the moment which generally means two passes and kick it long somebody with a bit of pace might cause a few problems. He isn't even giving us that option because he can't be bothered and he's knackered after 10 minutes. This is even in despite of being given a vote of confidence with a new contract.

It's completely unforgivable. It's like being employed to work 9-5 but packing up at 2pm every day because you feel a bit tired or can't be bothered with it. After a while you'd be sacked.....

God this fanbase fucking sucks.

Cannon and Campbell have rough patches, you're all in for shiting on them, wanting them moved on for free

You ever think you're expecting too much?
We expect a professional footballer to be fit!!!

The fact you slate the fanbase is unbelievable!!

Campbell is an absolute disgrace and should be at the very least fined for not being able to run without completely blowing out of his backside. Campbell hasn’t had rough patches, he’s had a rough 18 months of his own doing by being lazy and ill-disciplined.

Rewarding a player with questionable attitude with a 3 year contract will result in him having his pipe and slippers on, and will decrease the little motivation he has even more.

Players like him need to graft and prove they are worthy of a new contract.

Another Wilder masterclass.
Which if you read Arsene Wenger was why he shifted away from English players to African players (i know imagine that).

He said their attitude was sign a contract then graft as they wanted the next one to be with Real Madrid/Man City...

Dare I say it, like Ndiaye did. Never stopped grafting because he wanted to progress.

Our current model is giving pension pot boosting contracts to players on the downslope...

What’s your definition of a ‘patch’?

I don’t think we can describe Campbell’s form as a ‘rough patch’, when said rough patch has lasted longer than any decent spell he’s had during his time with us.
