I think the chances of us not being able to sign someone better than Clarke are incredibly small.

I would’ve thought it’s written in each player’s contract, but you would assume it’s pretty standard so every player will have it.

Potentially he could be, which would mean it’s highly unlikely we’d get a fee for him with his new club needing to pay him a similar wage.

What a player he was, I think it was against Hull where he scored 4 goals and was just immense.

His best game for us (so far ) was against Wolves in the game after bouncing day.

Got Coady sent off, early on, showed great movement for the 1st goal and power for the 2nd. Totally bossed them from start to finish. And Wolves weren't a bad (Prem standard?) side either.

In my opinion the blades need to sign 2 replacements for Hogan and madine, of our run in side last year, but we also need a 5th squad forward if we plan to carry on playing 2 up front.

In that case leon wouldn't be the worst option going, if he's interested. He clearly wasn't interested in 5th choice for us in the Championship, but 5th choice in the premier league and 1 injury away from being in the matchday squad is a different proposition that isn't coming his way anywhere else

All player prices are inflated and a way to get around this is to swap one of ours for one of theirs and pay the difference, now if you think it's ok to pay (for example) 14.9 million for Bowen and Clarke is the makeweight then ok but I'd rate him as 3 million in that situation and only offer up 12 million plus Clarke.

You've not factored in his relatively high wages. I doubt we'll get much of a fee due to age and wage.
